I think another cool build place that you might enjoy is Spectacle Island. It's HUGE, but that provides so much potential. In one of my play throughs I made a fishing village with a large keep at it's center.
4 minutes in, and my settlement building skills have already tripled. I did not know about the up and down motion, been doing it the hard way for 20 years
I'm new to Fallout and these videos are very helpful. I appreciate how you explain how and why you are doing certain things. The stop light could be used for vacancy vacancy. Happy Building ~ Cory

As long as the recommendations keep coming and people continue to enjoy them then I’d love to! I previously ran a poll to figure out my next location and the second closest was taffington boat house so that’ll probably be my next one! I’ll continue to post variety content though with a focus on trying to get fallout content posted on Fridays or Saturdays. Between building, recording and editing it can take a bit longer to do some of them then other stuff and I want to maintain consistent quality over pushing out a bunch of crap. That being said I hope you continue to enjoy and thank you for your support!

Great build! I have some tips to make the total settlement more realistic. Try to make 2 or 3 (or even 4/5 in giant building spaces) small builds with each a couple of buildings and 2 or 3 stories. Then try to combine them with different walls or small shacks in the middle so you can combine them to create a more realistic look (try diagonal walls and combine them with the normal higher guardpost i.e.). Each small builds can complement eachother in function, for example a housing area, a market, a farm, a bigger guardpost build etc.. That will make your builds even more stunning, (because of the randomness) to look at!
Should look into getting the ambush kit from the creation club if don't want use actual mods it has some nice defence towers and also has a shooting practice prefab that settlers use and adds happy bonus
I use chems when I have to. Grape and berry mentats mostly. Grape for buying expensive items or red speach checks. Berry during vault 81 quest to spot molerats so I can avoid the disease.
Luck was op in the older games but Charisma is where it's at in 4. Luck is great for a critical build but otherwise useless. Idiot savant is hardly necessary. High intelligence gets you leveled up almost as fast. Especially if you don't save scum. Ultimately, it's just a game. There's no need to min/max to have fun. Looking forward to seeing how it goes.

Great build. I've only just gotten into building / modding settlements. How did you build stilts? Have the same issues with floating builds =( Your shops have an end counter, is that from a DLC? The barn, the toilet shacks and iron doors you have are they all from a DLC?
Well I hope you enjoy and have fun! The stilts aren’t actually stilts so if you go into the wood section under miscellaneous you’ll find the jankey looking wooding bride and that’s what I use. As for the shops it’s not any DLC but I did use the pillar/carpet glitch to get those counters just phased in there. The counters I believe are found under furniture and either in the tables or shelves section but I’m not 100% on that right now. The barn and toilets are from the Far Harbor DLC and again off the top of my head I can’t recall if the doors are dlc or not but if they are it’s included in one of the vanilla DLCs available.
Yeah I eventually figured that out after a few attempts and talkin with some other folks 😂 it honestly seems like a lot of people get that one a bit messed up though especially if you happen to lose your trackers or something because i helped quite a few out myself once I got it.

I definitely do want to take on the vault at some point and I actually just created a community poll with a few suggestions from viewers on which location I should do next so check it out because red rocket is on there!
Need to try and find the “left bumper” for PS4, that would make life easier and building will be less frustrating. Clothing works because Lucas Miller (the provisioner) sells armour.
The bumbers and triggers are the same on PlayStation and Xbox they are just labeled differently. R1,R2 vs RB, LB. I Didn’t think about Lucas passing through but yeah that definitely is helpful!
@@cynicalredd Nordhagen Beach or Croup Manor would be cool spots for a build video, maybe? I got the items to move away and come closer but couldn’t figure out the up/down, pillar glitch it is. Great videos btw.
I may not mention it in this specific video but I play on pc so I have access to the console. I can enable god mode while building and have unlimited supplies. I do this just for the purpose of making video but that doesn’t mean you aren’t able to accomplish these builds still. I’ve made sure to keep it vanilla with no mods for that reason so anyone on any platform can do them if they please. I do use some special tips and tricks here and there though to accomplish some of the things I have. I cover a couple of them a little more in depth in my most recent build at Tenpines.
I don't know if someone said yet, but for putting pictures on walls that just don't work so well, you can either stack the pictures, sometimes anyways, or glitch a flatter wall in. The camp fire can actually be placed inside a building and works like the ground would to allow you to lift and lower things. By doing that you can then glitch the walls into the structures you have without having to remove floors or something. I'd love to see what you'd do at The Castle. Also, and I mean this with the utmost respect, if I hadn't read your bio info already, I would've wondered if you were military because of how you did this build. On that note, thank you for your service and for creating this video and awesome settlement build.
There's a few things you mentioned here that I actually haven't tried like picture stacking and the campfire one so I'll have to try those out next time if i run into those issues, thank you! I also just responded to another commenter about the castle location so I'll definitely make sure i get to that one sooner then later so for sure stick around if you're interested in that or anything else!! I also do appreciate you for the recognition, I'm sure I still give off a strong vibe at times lol but thank you! I only just found your channel tonight. Happened to pop up as a recommended video since I do tend to watch both vanilla and mod versions of settlement builds. Honestly the vanilla ones tend to be more impressive because of the limits that mods take away more so. I love that you made something that can be seen as simple yet is still structured and thought out adding to the creativity of it all. My opinion only of course. Building in Fallout 4 tends to be one of my favorite parts aside from the story itself. I spend hours just building. Admittedly I use mods (I play on Xbox) that way I don't have to constantly go out and spend a ton of time just finding the necessary things that will allow me to build decent settlements. I look forward to watching some of your other videos!

I never considered making oberland station into a fortified compound. I just build along the tracks but you showcased how the available space is better than a lot of other settlements. I’ll have to take some inspiration from this
It really just depends on the surface im on or what object the pillar is connected to. I talk about it in the vid a bit too that you may have to finess it a bit or raise and lower it depending on what you're doing. It's also good to note that you cant phase it though solid flooring such as woods or concrete.
