Salut!
I just plaid this mission today. I think the program auto-adjusts the amount of resistance to your fleet size. When I cam around the bend from Sajuuk, there were 9 battle cruisers and the dreadnaught waiting for me... along with a line of missile destroyers. Me with my 3 battle cruisers, one dreadnaught, 6 destroyers, 4 carriers, maxed out 50/50 mix of Ion cannon frigates/flak frigates, and maxed out fleet of pulsar corvettes, and interceptors. I thought it would be a cakewalk and got surprised! LUCKILY I brought all four carriers with me and they were hiding on the back side of Sajuuk sending wave after wave of ion cannon frigates to the front line quickly. All small ships were wiped out almost immediately. The Ion Cannon Frigates were cannon fodder to distract the battle cruisers while my big guys took them out one by one. I did use what was left of the pulsar corvettes to shoot past the line to start attacking the shipyard in the rear... which caused them to turn their dreadnaught around. Which enabled me to knock it out first before it even fired a shot. This was my favorite level.
That is EXACTLY, what the game does! It has dynamic difficulty and automatically gives the enemy more ships, depending on your fleet-size. It is pretty aggrovating, because the smartest thing to do and this is no joke, is to scrap everything you can at the end of each mission, except the necessities, like carriers and then re-built the whole fleet as fast as you can at the beginning of the mission and then do the same shit over and over. Granted, not all missions are like this (e.g. the keeper-fights), but yeah, it is pretty dumb. You can actually go inside the save-file and give your fleet more ships, even dreadnoughts and the elite bombers/gunships you can get in the 2nd mission. The game will then try to compensate that with more and more ships. I really hope Homeworld 3 will not go that route, because it makes everything way harder and the solution is just against the spirit of Homeworld!
@@IncapableLP The dynamic difficulty scaling is kind of broken, I find. How is 5 battlecruisers + 8 destroyers an appropriate match to my 1 battlecruiser and 5 destroyers? There's something in the way that it scales that makes some encounters border-line impossible.
Nice job man, i completed this mission with four hits and my entire fleet destroyed but im still very proud of myself. But you did this with zero hits. Very nice job
Because first game wasn't rushed unlike the sequel. If you look closely except vehicle graphics and sound effects everything looks much better in first game.
I got the game for free and did 2-3 missions, I don't plan to play the story, I just want to drive around, but there's no free mode I can find, there's always mission after mission, I just want to roam free. What's the fastest way to unlock free roam ? How many missions do I have to complete ?
je haie ce navire c'est une merde sans non mais il faut en passer par la pour monter au yamato !!! on ce retrouve dans des games T8 vs t6 la défaite assuré ...
This mission keeps ending with a mission failed when I reach the shipyard. It's doing it for no apparent reason, I didn't lose sajuuk dreadnought or anything important. After taking out my first battlecruiser or so it just fails for no reason no explanation. Is it because my miners were collecting resources or what?
