From a railfan perspective; it can be irking seeing nothing but GE’s. Especially in the last six or so years as NS and CSX have purged their rosters of EMD’s. That being said: from an engineer’s perspective I love running GE’s, any variety of the Heavies to be exact. Despite many comments picking on them for reliability, out of the 100’s I’ve ran, only two had issues and nothing that couldn’t get me over the road. On the flip side I have EMD’s go down on me all the time. Doesn’t matter if it’s a 40-2 or a 70M-2/ACe.
.... dude you had that 2-10-4 going faster than 8 mph going downhill on Saluda pulling a intermodal train, you should've been sent down the runaway track.... secondly why Saluda? that "mainline" has been closed for years.

I also find it funny that you coincidentally used 6944 because my mother had actually caught that same locomotive trailing on MSSAL on June 9th of this year lol (I featured the video she got on my channel).
