I have both the Surron Ultra and the Stark Varg, and while I enjoy both, I can't deny that these bikes are incredibly expensive once you start adding upgrades. The range on all of them is also pretty limited. If you go for the Surron Ultra, be prepared for a hefty hit to your wallet. After upgrading the battery, controller, motor, rims, and tires, you're looking at around $13,000. And even then, you'll only get about 60 miles at speeds over 40 MPH before the battery dies. As for the Varg, it's undeniably powerful and capable, but if you’re riding it wide open, the battery runs out after about 45-50 miles. One advantage the Varg has is its suspension and larger battery, which can give you up to 90 miles at speeds under 30 MPH. However, my biggest gripe with the Varg is that you still have to buy an additional street-legal light kit. The Altis looks to have some value in the electric bike market especially for the price - but who wants a 16' - 19' wheel set up? That's way too small. This bike is geared too teenage kids 13 - 17 years old. Not grown ups.
