I also feel the same way for Wang's animation for the Warner segments on Animaniacs, there's just something off putting of how they animated the Warner siblings and I thought they were kind of ugly
6:07 6:21Look how expressive this character is! How much emotion he puts into his drawings and expressions, and how he communicates what the character is feeling! great animator!
Nice reel. After all... Don Patterson is my biggest influences to animate. Thank you for remaking this. I apsolutely love his work. Also, I see mistake here 0:55-1:05 is not Don Patterson, it was Irv Spence.
Patterson is without a doubt an incredible animator. But I always was more of a fan of his Disney and Lantz work. His scenes at Hanna-Barbera are not bad, but they too stiff and mild compared to his best works on Mickey's Trailer or any early 50s Woody Woodpecker shorts.
I took a Character Animation Studio class from Ellen in 2014, and she is one of my favorite teachers! She absolutely molded how I approach animation and am currently taking a deep dive into the wealth of material she gave us. Wonderful animator and a great teacher!
Wow, this video has been around since 2018 and I've now only become aware of it? Yikes. So there's a lot here that's totally me. However, there's some that I don't remember at all. Some scenes, that were just revised by me. Which means I drew only a pose or two, and the majority was someone else. Some that I did only a single scene in a sequence. I'm definitely making a reaction video on my channel on this video. OH! and I was born in 1975. I'm not in my 70s.
