Here is some great advice. Whatever bike your planning on buying. Read the service manual through and through. You will be surprised how technically complex these machines are. Also, you will understand the maintenance of the bike and how to perform them. This knowledge will allow you to ask educated questions and see if the person is honest or simply doesn’t know. Either way it will make you a much better bike owner and that knowledge applies to many different manufacturers of similar bikes.
Yes. Word is currently that there is interest in reopening under new ownership, but the county won't resign another lease of the land until "covid is over with" they wanted to change the currently lease agreement with the former track owner that he didn't agree with, plus the covid restrictions were tight and they kept saying he could reopen, then couldn't, then could with all these rules that the owner stepped away from running it. Real sad and miss it a lot. Been going to ACP more which is fun though but such a long drive
beginner??? no. I had a buddy that i used to go trail riding on my older cr 250 and his new yamaha 250. He just had to try his hand at racing. mx racing.
Just haven't had as much to fill recently. Tucson track closed down and haven't had any races to do. But I was gonna post some motoland laps a few weeks ago just haven't got around to it and going to a new track tomorrow. So I will start posting more again, just got busy with life as well as the reasons I just stated
Yeah i did. I got the bike used and it already had white plastic underneath the kit he had on it. I think when putting on kits like this it makes it look really clean.
@@amacoutdoors2076 nice dude! I just ordered a kit from them I think I'm going to get black plastics b4 I put them on ..btw how long did it take you to get ur graphics??
Awesome dude, sad the track was closed as soon as you started, but I think you had a great time riding. Looking forward to starting my motocross riding ASAP. 🥰
It is going super well. Just been getting better and better. You always hit a few spots where you feel like you can't go any faster, then you always figure it out. I won the begginers class series at my local track and will be moving up classes! I still have a lot of speed to gain but where i am now compaired to when i made this video is a huge difference. What bike are you getting or have?
It's been sooo long hahah nice to see you upload. Keep the vids going bud, trust me all you need to do is upload more, ride more and just keep at it. maybe even meet up with other motovlogers. 🤞👌👍
Thanks man really appreciate it! Yes it's been a real long time! Will do 👍👍 I got a couple videos I am excited for coming up. I just got real busy and sometimes if I don't feel like the quality is good enough I just done feel like publishing it you know? But for sure need to post more.
Used. I got 3k cash so I'm sure I'll be able to find something good. There's plenty of race bikes here in Florida. Just wanna be really thorough buying used.
@@mototoad1242 Yeah just be careful. I love my bike but the last guy put stainless steel valves in it and it broke a spring. Engine didnt grenade but i needed a new top in. The piston was also like a tiny bit to small for the cylinder so it would rattle a little so i got a whole new top end. Its hard to tell because all the engines are loud because of the moving parts in 4 strokes, but it shouldn't be as loud as mine got. In the end i was close to the price of just buying new.
Thanks dude! Yeah they are super nice. The grip they have against the bike is so much better than the Elements, made me feel more controlled in the air.
liam Heinzel Thanks dude. Yeah i saw how you said earlier about it being a little long, it's so hard to keep it short! Haha I tried it just wasn't working 😂
Amac Outdoors haha thats alright dude sorry about that comment I wrote it because my phone came up with the wrong time, saying it was over an hour??????? Thats why I changed it haha. Need a riding vid!!!!
liam Heinzel Ahh ok that makes sense! Yeah I posted one a few weeks back with comparing some lap times. I wanted to post my race but the footage didn't turnout very well and the one that did I ended up kinda riding alone and not going that fast so I thought it might be boring. But thanks man appreciate it!
Hey I have a quick technique tip! But whatever leg out you are leaning on that side out and use it as a guide. Check out some pro motocross like Eli Tomac and you will get better!
GanTheMan 4 Thanks man I appreciate any help I can get! Are you talking about having the leg almost skimming the ground or even just flat skimming to guide it? Hey if I can do anything like Tomas I am sure I would get better, he is unbelievable!
Amac Outdoors for sure he is good. Keep your leg close to your bike but out in front, off the ground. If you have Instagram add me gannon4x4 so I can send you a video of what it looks like
Sean Higgins it is fuel injected. I believe they started injecting in 2011 and they made changes to it each year till 13. I also hear Yamaha waited till 2014 to start fuel injection.
Amac Outdoors - Thanks for the reply. It is weird that Yamaha waited until 2014. I'd rather have fuel injected but there is a carb model I'm looking at which I think I could get for a good deal. There's also a nice CRF250R that is a good deal in my area but is also 3 hours one way.
Sean Higgins Yeah totally weird it took so long. My opinion would say go with a fuel injected model as well, less of a headache and slightly better power. Totally depends on what you want though too and how much money you would save. The Honda's are good that wouldn't be a bad choice, and I see a lot of them at the tracks. Honestly don't see many carbs though around unless it's more of a trail/just for fun bike. Let me know which one you pick up!
Amac Outdoors - My friend and his dad ride 250 and 450 race bikes on our local ATV/snowmobile trails and I'd be tough with them. I'll probably end up going with the carb YZ250F because he rode it in the sand pits and trail rode it and didn't race it. I just need to learn how to ride one before I go pick one up. I'd like to test it myself first of all.
Mark Heinzel Yeah i bet that would help a ton. I road some trails last week, but they aren't super challenging. I need yo find some around here. I think i will always like track more but i am sure it would help as you say. I also need to get new clutch plates or something because my clutch is terrible
Amac Outdoors, yeah all the best dude, good vids.. I live in Australia. have been riding for 8 years now and just started riding a TRIALS BIKE... I've learnt more from this bike in the past few weeks than in the past 8 years of riding mx!!!
Flying High I did ride it a few times before this video. I also said it was geared more towards beginners, and an experienced rider would already know these things. I understand where you are coming from but you can learn a lot from doing research and learning about the bikes, just because I hadn't ridden before purchasing this bike doesn't mean I don't know anything about engines, suspension, etc. and have ridden plenty after. Heck, I have already taken the engine partially apart and put it back together, as well as the whole bike. So I do know what I am talking about. And yeah the video isn't perfect and I made some mistakes, but did I give wrong information in any part? I may have one minor mistake but I don't recall hearing me say anything incorrect. If you heard me say something wrong feel free to let me know.
not bad for a new guy how long do you warn up the bike for form a cold stared and no not a big fan for kx dirt bikes I had a kx 250f brand new and and it die so I got a ktm 250 2 stoke
IRN BRU Yeah I would have liked to go KTM too. Maybe my second bike. I do really like this one too though. I have heard some mixed reviews. The 2013 kx250f actually won the 250 shootout by dirt bike magazine I believe, so on performance Kawasaki wasn't as far behind then, but durability I have heard good things about Yamaha and KTM. I had just come in for water and a 5 minute break both times so I normally warm it up from cold for about 2 minutes I believe.
Yeah for the most part. I have actually torn it all the way down and going through everything, re greasing linkage and swing arm, repacking exhaust. Got to get new valves because previous owner did mess up by putting stainless steel valves with OEM springs so one broke. Been changing oil ever 2 rides and cleaning air filter, cleaning chain and whole bike every ride.
IRN BRU Yeah I am man. But I am learning fast and am having a great time! If you watch my newest video with some footage from the track that's not bad for being new to riding. Looking forward to getting better! What do you mean why kx250F? Don't like Kawasaki or saying 250 is too much bike for me right now?
Gabriel15Ro Thanks man! I actually talked to him a little and he was a cool dude, I think this comment sounded a little ruder than he intended. And he doesn't like Kawasaki's because he had one fail him when it was still pretty new. But yeah anyway thanks!
