I am a Software Engineer in the Bay Area who loves traveling around the world (30+ countries and counting). My channel currently is mainly focused on sharing hotel report, so that you can best determine whether that's what exactly you would like. The hotels I shared in my videos(without explicitly mentioning) are the ones that I would like to recommend, and usually are new luxury hotels on a budget.
Every week or every other week, I upload one new trip report about my travels around the world.
Hi, thank you for the video. It was very helpful. So was this an "Ocean Front" room or "Ocean View" room? You referred to it as both in the video. Also, could you hear the ocean from this room through the night? Thanks!
ah, i just checked their website. I think my room probably was the 1 King Bed, Diamond Head Ocean Front View. The Ocean Front View room probably are the rooms on the side directly facing the ocean (remember this hotel has a hexagon shape). I don't remember hearing any noise during the night!
Don't use seat guru because it was last updated in 2017, which a lot of configurations has changed. Use aerolopa for more detailed and up to date seat maps.
Oh wow, your video brings back fond memories. I was there just a week ago for just a few days, feels like an eternity already. I really miss Singapore, I want to go back as soon as possible. The Andaz really is an incredible hotel. I was on the "pool platform" when some heavy rain started, that was real fun! :-)
haha, great question! For me it was easy as the was only award availability for Seabird during the time of my stay. I am also curious to learn Mission Pacific more and whether it's worth a try!
Thank you for the video. I enjoyed it very much. I live in Northern California so I have a choice of either SFO or LAX. I find more flights out of LAX, I have to fly from humble County airport, so it really doesn’t matter to me.
Good timing! I am literarily right now staying at the park Hyatt aviara for the 2nd time! And I have only stayed at this Alila once! So you know the answer :)
I have flown business class on many airlines before and have some expectations on what first/business class should provide. I was extremely disappointed in TAP's business class and here is why. My husband and I just got back from Portugal on TAP in Business Class, which will never happen again. First off, my husband has extreme visual difficulties so it is important we sit beside each other so I can assist him. When we checked in, they had changed our seats. We asked if this could be corrected and they could not change the seat back to what we originally chose. Fortunately the passenger next to me changed with him so we could be together. Just as Adam experienced, the reception was not there. The first interaction I had was to place our food order (no drinks served) about an hour after take off. We flew during the day so everyone was awake. Hot towels were delivered which I loved. Our meal was okay, but not business class quality. After they cleared our trays, we saw no one until they delivered our "light snack" about 1 1/2 before landing. So no drinks (water, wine, etc) for about 6 hours. The "light snack" was the worst meal I have ever had on a flight. On the positive side, the seat was comfortable for me but I am 5'3". My husband, on the other hand, who is 6'3" was not comfortable. And just like Adam the pillow was so think I had to fold it in half. The amenity kit was lacking as well. All in all, I will fly TAP Business Class again as I do not feel it is worth it for what you get.
@@ChocoTravelGuide right. And I was not the only one. The elderly lady who switched seats so he could be next to me was traveling with her sister and they did the same thing to them--switched their seats. They couldn't find anyone to change with them so they could be together.
@@user-gs9ip1wj8d oh wow. What a great idea! I never would have thought of that. What I would expect is that they would have at least the same amount of leg/lounging room that EVERY business class airline we have flown (and we have flown many) would have.
Very nice trip report, maybe you want to add destinations on other continents that are served by TAP's A321neos with the throne seats. Natal, Maceió and Belém in Brazil, Accra in Ghana and to São Tomé in São Tomé & Principe. :-)
Thanks! Are you planning to travel there? I have made 1 other video about the best hot spring in Costa Rica and two other hotel review videos. Check them out!
How did this hotel compare to the Park Hyatt Doha? I am trying to decide if I stay here for $212/night booked into the base room or the Park Hyatt Doha for $188/night + 9,000 points/night booked into the Diplomatic Suite. I have Titanium with Marriott and Globalist with Hyatt
Unless you really want to have a large swimming pool or lie on the beach, Park Hyatt sounds to be a better option to me! Diplomatic Suite sounds to be a great deal!

Hi, Your video content and quality are excellent but need a little bit of optimization that’s why it can’t grow. It would help if you did channel SEO and Promotion with attractive thumbnails, professional descriptions, and targeted keywords then lots of subscribers and views will come to your channel and you will be able to monetize your channel.
@@ChocoTravelGuide Nice. I just watched the whole video. I booked the JW Marriott based on your last video and not am not too sure lol. Agree with you the decor has more character while JW seems kind of run of the mill. But I think the location will not be good for us as we travel with a lot of luggage and not having the car accessible is a problem. Think I'll stick to the JW.
how long did you stay there? and do you think 2 nights is too short? since it's far from main sightseeing areas. do you recommend moving to another hotel near the main sightseeing areas? or do you think traveling by car was good enough if you stayed here for 4 nights.
It sounds feasible, as most places of interest are within a 35-minute drive. I personally enjoyed staying in the Sannenzaka area for three days and it was a great experience!
Hello. Can I know which Junior Suite room category is #603? Because there are various room category for Junior Suites in this hotel. Thanks for your reply in advance.
@@ChocoTravelGuideThanks. For the price, a tub should be included. Anyway, I just booked it and hope its a great stay. I mainly choose it for the location.
