Great videos man! I know you keep asking what we would want to see next. I’ve been needing to remove my fj62 diffs to re seal them. Wouldn’t mind a video on removing those!
I’m glad you like it. I hope you get yours running soon. Let me know what your problem was. I replaced a cut out relay for a similar problem in one of my earlier videos. You can check that out too if you want to check the relays.
Pretty coincidental that I am have a no fuel issue and you post this video less than a day ago. Thanks for showing the process. I’ll be using this video to move ahead with my replacement. Do you have the part number for the pump?
It happens. Not that bad depending on the rust situation in your FJ62. Just make sure to take your time loosening the lines so you don't strip out the fuel line fittings. Here is a link to the pump I used on Amazon. www.amazon.com/dp/B073PVT86L?psc=1&ref=ppx_yo2ov_dt_b_product_details
Nice work buddy! I've dropped a few of these tanks and it can be a bit cumbersome. You did a great job showing the diagnosis of a bad pump. This will be very helpful for people who need to go through this repair. Great, straight forward information!
Legacy Land Cruiser, thanks for the comment. I think a lot of people fail to troubleshoot properly. I tried to show my process so guys can really identify the problem.
@@texascustomsand4x4 Yes, I agree. Lots of people can just start. Throwing parts at something rather than getting to the heart of the matter. Again, great job going through it all. Jason Dante
Right on! You should go for it. They are reliable and designed to be serviceable when required. Let me know if there is anything you would like to see.
I have a fj62 with 12HT turbo 4.0D engine my question is that its turbo isn't working and as about thermostat I've been driving my car without a thermostat due to which the car's heater also doesn't blow hot air what if i place a thermostat in the car will that give power to a engine and fix the heater problem?? Looking forward for an answer
By installing a thermostat it will allow the heater to work properly unless there is another problem. The heater uses hot coolant to heat the air in the cabin. without a thermostat, the coolant will not heat up enough for the heater to work. As far as power, a warm engine will produce more power. It could help out with the turbo, but you might have multiple problems that need addressing. A thermostat is an easy repair so I would definitely start there and then see how it goes.
I used a compressor from Rockauto. They list it as part number 7511842 which is a replacement for the OEM Nippondenso 10P15C compressor. I hope this answers your question.
@@jrcfj No problem. It came with the clutch assembled but I had to switch out the high and low side fittings. I purchased an o ring set for the whole truck, part number GPD 1321285. I think it was like $3.29. The big rectangle o ring goes on where the fittings screw in to the compressor. Here is a link to the O rings so you can see the photo. www.rockauto.com/en/moreinfo.php?pk=3915801&cc=1276613&pt=13290&jsn=17 I can't remember if the cover that the compressor came with had an O Ring or not. What I mean is if you only needed that one, can you use the one that the compressor comes with instead of buying the kit for 3.29. I do not know this answer but I will look through my footage and see if I can figure it out.

Thanks for the shout out buddy. I only wish it had been real time to save you having to open it up again. I love these trucks and enjoy others taking the time to keep them on or off road. Your truck is in really good condition and I look forward to future videos.👍
Thanks for the comment Jason. It's not a big deal. I don't mind showing people that I make mistakes too. I have a few videos to upload and plenty of plans for more videos in the future. If you have a suggestion or something you want to see, let me know.
Hello, greetings, I'm following your videos of the LandCruiser, I'm about to buy one and since I don't know much about mechanics I'm seeing the first steps to follow. Personally, I am more of a fan of manual transmissions than automatic ones. I know that in the US there were not many like this, in Venezuela (which is where I am from) they are quite common and the FJ62 was manufactured there until 1992. These vehicles bring back many memories and always I have wanted to have one and every time I see the passion of the owners of these vehicles it motivates me even more! How about an engine compression test for the next video?? It would be nice to know what state it is in, right? Good luck with the restoration and I will be aware of the repairs you do!
Manual transmissions are great! Very reliable and simple. Sadly in the US they are a dying breed. A compression test is a great idea. I will film that video and get it uploaded next week. It will be a week or so as I have several videos filmed but not yet uploaded so stay tuned. I think it is easy to get intimidated with mechanical things but if you break them down to simple steps and systems it gets easier. Of Course experience helps too, but not being afraid to learn something new is the first step. Great job Jose, and don't get intimidated. The FJ Land Cruisers are fun reliable trucks.
Yes. I am still planning to drop the pan and change the filter. I know changing the filter will not fix anything but it will give me a good idea of what condition it is in, i.e. clutch material in the pan etc.
How did the fluid checkout? Figure anything out why it wouldn’t shift? Sane the Speedo wasn’t working, would that have anything to do with it? Good luck!
Hi Brother, do you have video of how to get to the fuel injector? My 62 seems to have injector problem. Replaced fuel pump, inline filter etc, but still there is hesitation exists. Please let me know if you have video of injector replacement.
