when i went to get invisalign i asked them if it will help correct my recessed jaw caused from overbite and they said no and that it’ll only correct my teeth and not jaw structure at all, is this true?
Invisalign destroyed my face, I can’t even close my Mouth now, and my face has changed for The worse! I feel so horrible and sad I’m in deep depression now
I know how you feel. I cried 2 months after after 10 months brackets. Definately a trauma bc it's our face linked to our inner identity. You are still beautiful though and maybe a sec opinions to at least share your pain qitha good professional. Best wishes ❤
I’m on tray 10 and it’s made my face look horrible and sunken in, deep smile line on the left side too ): I look so old and I’m super worried… have you noticed any improvement in your face?
Same here, my teeth have been pushed so far back that my philtrum is now really long and covers my teeth when I smile and ny top lip curls up and disappears when I smile. Biggest and most expensive mistake
@@Victoriaaaa11111- my bite has definitely changed, and they wanted to change more , my teeth didn’t got totally straight at the end so I had to make extra and the extras they try to put some balls on it from inside so my lower bite would be more front and I said no! Because I literally looked like an old person with a lower month front if you know what I mean 😂😂 I cry so much already! ATP I’m not sure if I’m just getting old or is the Invisalign!
I got braces to close large spaces (Florence, SC)...resulted in overcorrection. Spaces closed, but left side top is lower than right side top teeth, and right side bottom higher than left! Resulting in very uneven smile. 5 years i had the braces. It was expensive and im disappointed with the results. Have to do this ALL OVER AGAIN!
My smile changed. It is absolutely beautiful now. I had bottom tooth crowding and the slight bite correction. My top lip is now as full as the bottom lip. Very happy with the result.
Teeth are crowed because the arches are too small not because the teeth are too big. It’s like a kindergarten level of understanding of how the mouth works
IPR is the dumbest thing of all time. It ruins the shape and fullness of your incisors and leaves you with skinny stubs that are out of proportion with the rest of your teeth and threat of your facial features. For anyone to think this was a good idea, let alone an entire community of orthodontists, is shocking. Complete idiocy at its finest
@@curves25able its going good im on tray 4, mine is 2 weeks each tray, the pain is good at the moment but can be very painful when you first pull them off on your first set, but thats normal and becomes more manageable the trays are hard to put on at first but after wearing them they become more flexible so you can put on and take off easily, make sure when you take them off you go from the inside on you teeth (near tounge) just to get them started then put your finger under them to slide it around the attachments on your teeth, thats how i do it anyways.
@fab2907 bro I have over bite and open posterior bite + side teeth being a bit lateral so I think it's worth it. And trust me, after this process, you will love yourself and your smile. My teeth always have been a problem and insecurity, I don't have a single photo where I smile kr laugh
Just dont let the ortho shave your teeth at the end of treatment. He shaved my front top teeth and bottom teeth undoing some of the face change that had taken place and causing tooth sensitivity and jaw issues.
@@LoveFluffybums1I've started yesterday and removing invisalign with attachments its horrible. Also my teeth are in such a great pain. I cant even bite properly my food once i take it off. Does it get better? Pls tell me it does
@damurichannel Hi, I am not sure about the pain since I never had that (except I usually feel the trays tight on the 1st day of a new week). But about the food, I did have problems in the very beginning too. It did get better with time. Now I am on trays week #7, and finally, last week, I started seeing change in teeth moving their position. Did u keep the Invisalign?
I’m starting my treatment next week, always been unhappy with my teeth since I hit my 20s. I also have an asymmetrical jaw/bottom lip due to how my teeth are aligned, so I hope to see the benefits of this too when finished treatment. Can’t wait!
@@akey_9655it’s going good so far, going into my 13th week next tuesday of changing weekly aligners. I really don’t think it hurts at all there’s just the slight initial discomfort when you change to new trays but usually surpasses after the first day. Nothing to worry about, just stay disciplined with how long you’re wearing them and you won’t have any issues!
@@Shadows_ShiversComing up to set 20/20 which are all straight. Really happy with the results so far as I didn’t expect to see such improvements in a short space of time. I believe they are going to take new impressions on my next visit and allocate me new sets for slight adjustments, but so far really worth it
Did anyone else’s bottom lip become thicker after Invisalign? Because I think mine did but I’m not sure if Invisalign was the main cause or if my lips got naturally bigger from puberty. Anyone else?
this makes little sense. she said to "use the whitening gels to whiten your natural teeth," but if you have composite resin on your teeth, your natural teeth are covered an the gel doesn't go on them, other than the back which cannot be the problem when there's veneers on the front! you also explained how its the wearer's lifestyle causing the yellowing when actually the resin in basically polymer, which is white plastic. white plastic always turn yellow over time, especially from light..
yes seems odd what she said. My resin veneers are looking very grey and stained and I wish i could at least get the stains off. I wish now i had gotten a whiter shade. They just look awful and old
@@AL-ru3nk sorry to hear that! I hope your able to get them fixed some day. Have you tried using the powder called cream of tarter? It can whiten plastics. Don’t swallow.
I feel changes all around my face, my gums, my jawline, my cheeks, even my nose. My mouth wants to pucker up or frown but I keep reminding myself to smile. Throughout the day I find some relief when I massage my cheeks & jawline. I rub or massage my nose but I don't find relief there. The first 3 days were the worst. On my 18th day now. Still sooo much discomfort. I only find relief when I'm sleeping.
Can correcting my deep overbite through Invisalign + bite ramps lengthen my chin ? I need my chin vertical length to increase by 7mm. When I put my lower teeth in its proper position ( no deep bite position ), my chin looks longer and nicer.
I had an overjet as well, I’m currently on tray 5/8 and id say it’s definitely lengthened my chin. My face looks better overall, however I think its sarting to lengthen my chin too much where my jaw looks shorter
@@BassGal92 I think they should at least mention something about the price. Just like what you said I think they should have said something like that in the video.
Usually it’s around $5000 here in the US for comprehensive plan. I’m in the treatment right now and for me it’s worth the amount I spent. I always wanted to change my teeth.
Can I ask you how/why you had that anterior open bite? I had an extreme case of that as a child but getting perm.teeth mostly fixed it(although it caused other issues that basically cant be fixed). In my case..my mom gave me a passifier and never took it away, it ruined my teeth, my mouth and how I talk, as well as tongue posture.
@@kuutti6777 I have a narrow upper arch, and basically should have gotten an expander as a child. I was extremely complaint when I had Invisalign and rubber bands so it worked well for me!
@@britneyhardy4534 Hey! Sorry I know this is a late comment to your original one, but how big was your open bite? mine is 8mm and Im currently on my first tray with Spark Aligners! (type of invisalign). Ps I am happy for you!
