I’m 70 and have been dealing with the symptoms of Parkinson’s Disease for 15 years. I am doing SO well only because I have had an exercise program since in was in my early 20’s. I am not overweight but grew up with the USDA Food Pyramid as my nutrition guide. I am now working on walking past bakeries and no longer eating oatmeal every day for breakfast. I walk 7 days a week at least 2.5 miles. I recently had a cardiac pacemaker installed due to low HR when I sleep. (38bpm). This recent event has caused me to quit RUCKING but I plan on starting back up next month. I feel so sorry for the men & women my age who are obese and have never had a cardio program nor have they lifted weights. I take almost ZERO medication for my Parkinson’s - unheard of for most people with PD. But I have to do the work. Every. Damn. Day. Thanks for your great content - it has given me new impetus to do even more. I don’t care how long I live. I just don’t want to be a burden on my wife and children. So every morning I get up and, no matter how I feel mentally, I get to it.

When I met Jason briefly he was such a top guy very welcoming and generous with his time and I tried to be respectful of that and took along time to pluck up the courage to ask for a photo with him after the train hard mens work out to which he obliged. If I did have any sort of ability in BJJ I would not want to test Jason's bulk head isle mode 😅

Jason i have been not only following your content but loving it as well so much that i went and got me a sandbag. But I do have a question as a father and this is an honest question how do you do that? With all sorts of distractions we have nowadays how do you stay focused and present as you say? I sincerely hope you can see this and if possible answer it cause brother I feel lost and that I am not being that provider. Thanks a million Jason for all your content.

Watching this after 9 years and it’s more relevant than EVER. If only HQ followed this ethos and the trickle down effect to newer viewers would have been greater. Greater protection of the affiliates and community. The affiliates will survive because, using this model, their community will last.

Hinshaw is an idiot. He goes on before the games and says water temp isn’t an issue - and after the games he goes on and says it’s the biggest issue to consider and he never would had let the swim happen. He is a liar - two faced - and always makes himself out to be the hero. Narcissistic

I think so many people end up having such a hard time in their early years in religion... At least for me i remember the pastors mother pulling me out of sunday school to yell at me that i was going to burn in h e double hockey sticks because i liked harry potter and i asked questions about Buddha cause my dad was buddhist and didnt teach me about it unless i pressed him

I'm nearly ten years older. I did a 250 lb powercleans for the first time, a month ago. I can't snatch jack. I cleaned and jerked or threw 220. I'll clean and snatch 300 and more.

Faith is controversial is because men use the word god in vain to coerce people into complying to their statist demands and saying anyone who doesnt comply worships the devil. Your relationship with your spirituality is a personal thing. The state had no business engaging

The intention of a cold plunge is not to fight the cold, but to surrender to it. Short-high intensity sled, sandbag etc training has the intention to learn how to fight. Both fighting and surrendering are equally imprtant in order to be resilient. Julien is a great human being and teacher. Thank you for the beatiful podcast 🙏💚

He can’t coerce yet his faith is rooted in coercion. Even today with OK now requiring the Bible be taught in school. “Sky daddy” - his words - is a story from a time without any science, journalism and the critical thinking he says is important. Indeed, MANY were killed for it. Any serious examination of that story, his truth, will find many many contradictions and untruths. That’s why he gets pushback.

And yet modern science and the very concepts equality and human moral significance are rooted in Christianity. Newton? Christian. He won't demand you to become Christian, nor would I. In that way, we won't coerce you. But I dare you to probe at the source of your beliefs. Nick speaks to this further into the question. Right and wrong comes from somewhere - and he recognizes that his somewhere is Christianity.

@@arjunheart5859 Do other non-Christian societies and cultures have those things? Spoiler: Yes, and existed before. Christianity does not have a monopoly on them. Probably because of phenomena like game theory.

Not at all. The effort of actually wall "walking" with hands is the core of the movement. Shoulders, core and gluteus help to balance and support. All those muscles are working even doing the downward dog (which actually makes it harder for shoulders and hips).

Fuck no. A dumbbell is perfectly balanced, and sculpted in such a way that it’s easy to carry. Get a sandbag without handles and you’ll see how tough to train with it really is.

good exchange of thoughts ... and about the tactical games: it is really a shame that we do not have that here in Europe - would be a great addition/mix with the more weapon oriented stuff ... won't happen anytime soon, I guess.
