Hello! I create videos/songs/tracks that you can use to practice songwriting, singing, guitar leads, playing by ear, drums, etc. My goal is to make backing tracks that are not just fun to play or sing along with, but are also good instrumentals that you can listen to for funsies. Comments, suggestions, and requests are always welcome. For me, this is an exercise in improving my mixing and mastering skills, and I'm glad we can go on this musical journey together. Hi Prakhar, thanks for the thumbs up! I'm not sure a tutorial from me would be super helpful, but I can think about something to maybe put up in the future. My process is very slow, partly because I'm busy with other things and partly because I don't want to release anything I'm not happy with. I use YT for my writing and recording practice, actually! I never sit down with a plan to write or record. If something fun comes out of my fingers when I'm noodling, I'll open up Cubase and record a block. From there, it's a grab bag of putting in drums here and there, blocking off more guitar lines, and seeing if anything cool comes out of bass or synth. I don't play drums, but I also don't use preprogrammed grooves - everything is done manually. I see that as part of my learning process. I watch a lot of videos on Drumeo, MEINL Cymbals, etc. to get ideas for drums. For mixing/mastering/writing, I watch channels like GetGood Drums, Joey Sturgis Tones, Waves Audio, URM Academy, and others. Many times, I don't love a song at first, but as I keep adding polish, it grows on me. I hope I get better with each track!
You need to take this track down immeditealy before more people hear it and sell it to a band that is struggling to make good music these days. For example, Arch Enemy, In Flames, Five Finger Death Punch, As I Lay Dying, etc. I'm actually not joking. This just needs vocals and a lead guitar over it, and a few tweaks, and it's a good song that will make money. Tell me you have a band and your not just doing this for a backing track on YT? There is songwriting talent going on over here right now. Don't waste it.

Arch Enemy was killer in the 2000s, but they did jump the shark in the 2010s and are now sort of an inferior version of what they used to be. They're not necessarily bad these days, but nothing compared to what they used to be. First Swedish melodeath band I got super into. In Flames(I'm actually wearing a shirt of them rn) was killer in the late 90s, decent in the early 2000s, and their latest songs are fine. As I Lay Dying's comeback album was pretty good, and they had their moments back in the 2000s, but they are pretty repetitive and tend to recycle their material. I don't think I've heard a Five Finger Death Punch song I've been super into. Their most recent stuff I've heard is flaming hot garbage.
It is 4/4 with 3 eighth notes per beat, which makes it 6/8 (or 12/8 if you want to split the measures differently). It is felt as 4/4 because it is counted as 1-2-3-4-5-6 with emphasis only on the 1 and 4. However, the 4/4 that is felt is actually dotted quarter notes, not quarter notes. If you go to the bridge section at 3:06, you might more clearly hear the 3 notes per beat. Songs like these can be notated several different ways: 1. 6/8 (with different metronome options) 2. 12/8 (with different metronome options) 3. 4/4 (with all notes written as triplets) 4. 4/4 (with a shuffle feel notated) 5. Etc. Some songs that are in 6/8 or 12/8 with the same feel as this track are: 1. Prayer Position (Periphery) 2. The Beautiful People (Marilyn Manson) 3. Children of the Grave (Black Sabbath) 4. @@outbacktracksofficial I know what you mean, Mr Outback, but sometimes arrangements can be like 3 crotchets taking 2 beats, making it sound 6/8 or 3/4. I usually label this swing or triplet feeling as 4/4 with all notes written as triplets. "Suck My Attitude" by Warmen was written in 4/4 with all notes written with all notes in triplets (the tab creator didn't arrange it 100% correctly for it's not the official tab).

I just noticed in the description that you also use D'Addario NYXL strings. I also switched from the XL to Nyxl and I love these strings. Maybe you're interested in this string test then search "tests reveal most harmonic guitar strings sets" and again, I love the B minor miner bee
That's awesome! I would love to assemble a set of their recommended strings to see the difference. I was weirdly disappointed when I tried the NYXL and loved them so much...because they're more expensive, ha!
