Thank you all! This sutta is very important and I loved all the different insights about the meaning from each monk🙏. I was filled with such inspiration to practice listening to this talk and discussion🙏🙏🙏sadhu.
Thank you Brant’s kusala for your valuable explanation. I would definitely practice the water therapy whenever I feel angry. Great insight. Theruwan sarangi.
Modern research on Near Death Experience by Raymond moody, reincarnation memories by Ian Stevenson/Jim trucker and past lives regression by Brian Weiss all independently but coincidentally show that our consciousness survive death, we live many lives and our thoughts and actions matter in the hereafter. This is in line with Buddhist teachings. So be kind and helpful to others, be virtuous, meditate and cultivate ourselves to higher spiritual levels. Cheers.
All my fellow followers of Buddha, please focus on Tipitaka. That is Discipline, Focus and knowledge. Buddha taught this principle for free ourselves from suffering, nirvana. But this principle can be applied to all aspects of life. Even to be a good husband or father we need discipline, focus and knowledge, Tipitaka.
I would say that as a Bodhisatta, he had very minimal sensual interest. Since he knew Jhānas by experience, he must have naturally inclined to those states anyway, a pleasure that he wanted to experience more and more, prompting him to renounce at the age of 29-so young in body, but so wise in mind, and yet being misguided that those pleasures are “bad” until he realized that they are not.
Very inspiring talk Bhante. “”Being mindful to care for your self and others..being virtuous and generous and lastly practise meditation.”” TheruwanSaranai 🙏🙏🙏
