14:36 You wrote this in the article announcing the video version: "It should go without saying that the audio versions of our podcasts aren’t going anywhere, but I always hear concerns that the video version of a show will wreck the audio-only version. It won’t. AppStories in particular has been an audio-first podcast for seven years, so that’s not changing; but if you want to watch AppStories, now you can." Yet it took you not even 15 minutes before you started asking everyone to watch the video to understand what's going on. I was on a bicycle during this segment, had to pull to the side of the road, pull my phone out of the pocket, and navigate to youtube to understand what was going on. I guess this is no longer a show for me
I'm glad you are exploring different options, but unfortunately listening to the podcast became much worse experience. When Federico said "this little thing" I knew he was holding something, but couldn't understand what, felt a bit better when couple minutes in John said "iPad mini you were holding there", but then we went to showing off of the different iPads I felt dumb and left out since I couldn't see anything. The discussion would have played out differently on an audio-only show. It's natural that you talk differently due to video, but it's a different show now.
Thanks for the feedback. That's something we will work harder to avoid. That said, I don't think that rises to the level of a 'much worse experience.' The point is valid, but you yourself point out that it was mitigated by what I said later. But as I said, we'll do better next time. Thanks for listening. - John
@@MacStories09 But again, the segment where Federico is showing iPads, comparing them to each other and the iPhone, makes sense only on video ("switch to the video version of AppStories if you are listening to the audio" 14:36) . Obviously in terms of content I come for to the show it's not a massive change, but it feels like the AppStories The Podcast is no more. It listens like a video show with audio available. When you add video, it is natural to change the way you speak about things, especially if you can show some of them. Myke talked about that multiple times and I believe that's why they are not looking at the video feed during Upgrade, for example.
Oh don't you dare say that the iPad Readwise app sucks or even worse "not native". They get really mad about it.

I don't like this. Listening in Overcast with its great audio optimization is much easier, but now I feel like missing out doing that, especially since you're actually showing stuff to the camera occasionally. When doing it on NPC with new hardware, it would be nice if it also went as chapter art into the podcast.
It's weird how storage space works for different people. I have an iPad 9 with 64GB, have everything I want on it installed and there's still 20GB free 😅
Hi Sir, Thanks for the review. Could you tell if there's any difference in the size of letter keys of pebble 2 keyboard and this one? I just bought pebble 2 combo and saw your video. Is this a good upgrade in terms of key size as the product is in return window. Also if you can suggest which is better in these two - Logitech MK950 Signature Slim Wireless Keyboard and Pop Icons Keys Keyboard. Thanks again for the review.
Unfortunately, I haven't tried the Pebble 2 or MK950. Looking at them, though, the Pebble 2 seems to be about the same scale as the POP Icon Keys. The POP Icon Keys is wider, but it has an extra column of keys that probably accounts for most of that, so the main difference is most likely the shape of the keys. Since the POP Icon Keys is more square, they should have a little more surface area. The MK950 looks a lot like the MX Keys keyboard I used to use. I loved those keys and only stopped using it because I preferred having Touch ID on my keyboard with the Magic Keyboard.
Hi, is the black graphite model more prone to oily fingerprints ? I am torn between this and the off white orange color, at the same time I am also concerned about how clean my keyboard looks. Please give your take on this. Thank you.

Thanks for showing the software a little bit, that’s definitely the part I would like to know more about. The hardware looks great but using the automations on my MX mouse can definitely be clunky. The utility of this thing really stands or falls by its ability to implement the dial & roller with Ableton, Resolve, Fusion360, or whatever other non-Adobe software people like using
Thanks for the introduction to MX Creative Console. Are other photo programs such as Luminar supported? Not everyone has Adobe programs! As with the X idea of the Costolo, this is an issue at all.
Yes, you can program the buttons to run keyboard shortcuts available in any app. Official Adobe plugins may go a little deeper because they tie into the app's APIs, but you can get a lot accomplished by setting buttons to trigger keyboard shortcuts or series of keypresses using macros. iOS and iPadOS are almost the same, and yet many apps can’t even make that transition well. To then try to map those same apps onto a Macbook, well, I can’t see it. It’d be really nice, of course, but I don’t see devs making good enough apps for all 3 platforms.
Thing with the iPad Pro M4 (11”) is that it’s amazingly thin and light, until you put it in the keyboard, or even folio case. At that point it’s almost impossible to tell the difference in weight between the M1 iPad Pro and M4 iPad Pro, because the cases are so heavy themselves.
