Basically the barrier between the "wrestling world" and real life. For example, if a wrestler is a douchbag in the ring, but is seen donating to charity outside of the ring, then he's breaking kayfabe. He's doing something that's not his character

True, that being said it was never Cena's own fault. I'm sure he has tremendous respect for all the smaller wrestlers who were on the jobber side of things.
Honestly, I'm glad Barrett gave up on the Nexus. To hear him talk then was a marathon job in itself, just like watching 3 hours of Raw. They rose in popularity and nearly had the WWE Title after SummerSlam (ofc no one notices), but Barrett and the Nexus was a pain in the @s&. I welcome the change.
