The hazy dizzying days of independence perfectly interpreted by the Grand Maitre Joseph Kabasele and African Jazz. Tragically the Congolese people were never to experience the peace and progress that was promised to follow freedom from Belgium.
Sou carioca, meu pai tbm era mais ele amava esse disco. Eu cresci ouvindo e tbm amo esse disco. Meu pai partiu a 1 ano e me deixou essas relíquias para lembrar dele.

Fela Ransome Kutti and His Koola Lobitos.
This is when Fela was still trying himself out. This is more Jazzy and Calypso-like feel to it. Though at the start it was so Highlife like and sound like a Bobby Benson.
hello Lele Nsundi was not yet in this orchestra at that time, they were all Gendames. the guitars you are listening to at the moment are: Solo; Okouanga Jean Felix Rytmique-Accompa: Nzaou Jonathan Bass; Abessolo Jean Pierre All deceased to this day. Lele Nsundi arrived in the mid-80s with Mavuela Somo, Yenga Yenga Junior, Lewis Adamo (another virtuoso guitarist); the virtuoso Lele Nsundi died a few years later. I know all this because I am the son of a member of this Mythical Orchestra. Indeed, my late Father Zué Ndong Rigobert was a member of this Orchestra since its integration into the Gabonese National Gendarmerie in 1962, he was a Saxophonist-Trumpet player and author-composer. Just a duty of memory.
