I agree that respect is important for the sake of the individuals who died, however, like many outside observers, I do believe that some Americans are prone to degree of fantatacism or to the deification of their state. For instance, to insist that anyone who "denigrates" America is insane is a truly amazing fallacious remark, but one which aptly reveals the reflexive and ideological prism through which thought is elicited.
i was there back in August, and i saw the guard change, it was great, it's a real honor for these men to guard the tomb of the unkowns, only about 20% of all volunteers are acceped for this
@Suggi1985: Got to agree with you. Most americans have never left their country and think they are the only ones in the whole world who count. So embarassing.
What has Hitler to do with the Guard CHANGE at all? You (americans) place you over all other humans in this world and the only arguments which I receive here, are offenses of the worst sort. Yeah, this creates unbelievably much respect and acknowledgment. But it OK!!! So what!!
OK! I get it!!! And I agree!!! But to say I am a Nazi...you don't know what this words mean! this is disgusting and realy stupid too, for a someone like you, who wannts respect and acceptation for some traditional things like the guard change!!! Where is your respect for other people?
You dare me to say I'm anti-american,but evertime if someone expresses little criticism to the USA WE ARE ALL FUCKING NAZIS! so what, what do wannt from me??? Do you wannt me to say,oh america, where 80 % of the people are without jobs an health insurance,is so nice.Oh I wannt to stay in the country with one of the highest crime rates of the world,oh yeah, I wannt!!! Should I kiss your ass?No thanx, america can do what they wannt to do,it's OK, people are diffrent! But I'm not care about it!! OK
Look, you think I'm anti-american but it's not so. To be true, I don't care about america. I something will happend which could force me to leave germany, there or so many other countrys in this world. New Zealand, Australia, Africa, Canada and so on.... so why are you so proud to think america is the only country in this world where I can go.
ohhh...uuhhhh...american friendliness completely as the world knowes it after Bush & CO. it's ok little child, don't be angry because your mother did not not loved u enough. It's ok, everythings gonna be alright ;-)
The tour group leader was speaking Polish about the rocks, and by a bizarre coincidence, I had a motorized toy as a child, a lapidary, that used sand and a tumbler to polish rocks, bahahahahah!
Back in 2005, our high school marching band went on our trip to D.C and walked through Arlington up to the changing of the guard ceremony. Over 100 high school students - perfectly silent. it made me cry. that is how good this ceremony is.
