Hey, this is Dolly, a musician and appreciator of music. I created Divine Rebel Music as an avenue to host Open Mics, Showcases and House Concerts featuring local/traveling songwriters. In this new reality, we've been able to continue our shows through live streaming. We are not currently hosting any shows but we'll be back...soon. If you enjoy our content and feel inclined to tip, we would greatly appreciate it. Paypal.me/divinerebelmusic Venmo: @divinerebelmusic

When the first ER album was released a radio spot aired along with it featuring “Fresh As A Daisy,” as well as ads for the album in Rolling Stone. Wish I could find them now. Until the album and artist were identified I presumed it was a new McCartney solo album-despite having been a huge Beatles fan since their first single entered the charts. That first album got airplay, making Emitt’s vanishing act puzzling. Still, his disappearance wasn’t all that noticeable in an age of one hit wonders. It was also a burgeoning time of fantastic music and musical change: solo Beatles, follow-ons to ’60s artists, arena rock, progressive rock, music video, punk, disco and more. There was plenty of other material to disappear beneath. It’s just unfortunate what the reason for ER’s disappearance was: greedy executives in the music industry taking advantage of a naive and generous young artist-people who didn’t realize or care that they were killing a goose that was laying golden eggs for them as well as himself. Clearly, the result was decades-long depression that Emitt would handle as only an optimist with the sunny disposition that Emitt had would. May he rest in peace.
This reminds me of what it used to feel like being content with simple things, and just being able to hang out, the way things used to feel before everything sped up so much....
Hi Terry. I knew your brother, Ken, as well as Michael McCarty from The Toads of Sleepy Hollow. I was the drummer/vocalist in a Redondo Beach band called The Royal Teens (later we changed our name to The Paper Fortress. I played a handful of gigs with Ken, and he also recorded some of my early music compositions. I have some of Ken’s originals such as “Please Give Reply” and “Nobody Seems To Care.” Beside what is posted on Reverb Nation, are there any more of Ken’s originals? Evan
Hi all. Sorry but I couldn't attend the live performance as it was 4 a.m. in my time zone. So I'll have to answer here. Terry and Melinda thank you for appreciation, it's great to hear from you again. Fjaere N.. in the leaf blinders are my own songs. Yes, my dogs (there's actually 3 of them) are born and raised in music and just don't mind it. The cats as well :) P.S. Terry... Dracula is a lady ;)
i thought everyone decided on his page the last line was "hooray the Lord's been good to his children' or am i wrong? "helping children" actually fits what I hear now that I think about it . really great observation/comparison with John Hurt obviously COOLHOUSE was best
first, those words belong to Fresh as a Daisy. I wanted to pay tribute to that song too as the end of Face on the Floor. But I revised the words slightly because I felt they fit better.
I’m delighted to have taken part. Was a total honor to get to contribute. Thank you to everyone who tuned in and to Dolly JJ and Terry for the broadcast.
