As a X1 owner I would give this review a 5 stars. Honest and without any unnecessary details that other presenter may have. And last thing its bigger than pictures, always.
i had this 340xi rent for a weekend and this car is just perfect!!. if u go Fast its 100% enough the noise and the fun wow .. but also a perfect daily for a chill ride... i also drove a S4 3.0 tfsi 2016 from my friend and it is also a great car buuut ... BMW has a perfect steering. zero understeering at the highway the Car makes exactly this what u want even at 220km/h in the curve perfect balance. The car is insulated to a high standard if u drive on a highway with like 140 km/h there is no noise from outside like the wind and tires in the A4 i had a feeling like it isnt at the same level .. the noises were much louder ..i like both cars but for me its clear the BMW (and i drive a 2014 audi A5) as daily so even as a long audi fan i would definetly change to this BMW if i had enought pocket money :D
It depends what you want, cars in this class are for those who want luxury and sportiness together. If your more luxury inclined the e400 is the one to get, if it’s the sportiness edge you want then it’s the 540i. My personal choice is the 540i
I've found through driving at work and getting all nerdy with the instant MPG readout that by keeping in say 3rd rather than 4th and retraining your right foot to ever so slightly tap a hair's width of throttle so the gearbox is spinning and just a touch of fuel/air is fed the MPG can get quite high although you throttle past a certain point it drops but just that slight nudge will do wonders 👍
What a weird review. Why did you not switch and each drive the other car. It's like arguing with someone on a subject they've already made up their mind about.
Had and owned both, the Astra had the overall edge in my mind. Better cabin, better infotainment and easier to service. The 308 is the better drive overall and in its GT line trim the seats are better.
@@Mattlawton-ft6ew i have peugeot but didnt drove Astra. Did you drive it? No? So shut the f up until you did. Fanboy. Both are great cars you saying one is better just makes you look stupid, and saying peugeot instead of peugeot 307 means you are in for the brend, which means you are dumb sheep who fell for marketing Lol
Another really simple thing also is if your car is a diesel and it's been doing a lot of start stop traffic, it's good once and a while to give it a bit of a "burn" by going on a longer journey for a bit like a motorway as that allows the car to clear itself. Petrols I don't think you have to but can be good for a car nonetheless. Sounds counter productive but after I did a 20 minute run at reasonable speed I gained about 5 mpg just because the car was able to run properly. Rather than doing a lot of start stop running.
Car reviewers and the general public can be thick. Very clearly this car IS NOT aimed at high school boy racers. Especially at the price point. It's for people who maybe have families or other professional drivers who need space, comfort and practicality in a luxurious package - which this is, and better so than a 5 Touring or 7. Luckily because most people are so dim, this didn't sell well, so you don't see 50 in the McDonald's car park. In fact, most people can go a week or more without seeing one - exclusivity at its best
