We had a thunderstorm last year where there was so much lighting that the thunder was just a constant continuous rumble that lasted for at least an hour.
That’s an great build. Had to deal with cutting down backpack frames for the GB house at a large theme park one year. Such a pain. This is much nicer looking. :)

I grew up in Bay City Michigan, Cavarrici’s didn’t hit us until around 1990. But when they hit? They hit BIG. Like if you didn’t have at least one pair? You weren’t it. I had TWO pairs and so didn’t my boyfriend. His were beige and black, mine were green and purple. And yes we wore them together. 😂 I look back and think we looked like two clowns walking through the mall. Good times though.
@@HawkWorley I hear you. Don’t get me wrong they still hold a very special place in my heart…All the clothes from back in the day do. Do you remember those pants called “Skids” or “Skims”? Something like that? I just remember they had big stripes and colorful patterns. I miss those too. All the skate wear too like vision etc.
I'm sure it will be disappointingly plain compared to lightsabers. I have a few lightsaber boards that I want to install in my hills, but thats a video for a later date.
The stuff you've been doing does seem love/hate! I think I'm there with the electronics on this. I have to start from scratch, 2 weeks in and back to square one. I learned and that what matters.
The problem is I have to run 220v to the garage. I have the pipe buried, but I need my service to my house upgraded. Trust me, its frustrating to have to setup and not able to use it. All things in time. It will still be able to heat the garage this winter, so I'm looking forward to that!
It had to be done. I would have rather worked on electronics, they are more flashy and that video will probably do better, but even an okay day in the shop is better than a great day at my day job.
Cool, can't wait to see it finished. I have proton pack sound fonts on a couple of my sabers. Is there a particular sound font ghost busters use on their sound system?
There are a few different fonts available. I might throw a few Star Wars ones on mine. Its be entertaining to have the hum be a lightsaber hum. Its easy to switch sd cards.
To be fair, it failed because I had the build plate too close and that caused a clog. If I had checked on it I'd have seen the problem. Almost every thing wrong with my printer has been user error.
Rivnuts/nutserts are going to be your best friend in builds like this. I've got them on all my brackets in my proton pack. Quick nuts can fall off, and it beat trying to jbweld nuts on top the bracket
I have not, I've not needed something to display items before. Most of my stuff is in bins. Not until mu Mospeda have I had armor that I need to work with on someone. Ive thought about making him arms like that though.
Looks great, I like the shirt and balaclava idea. I've been slowly working on a Bootstrap dress form for myself. They actually make one for men. You want to talk about heat? It was 107 here yesterday, but it'd s dry heat. Dry smoky heat.
I don't know why I haven't just gotten them these before. It has made using my mannequinsince so much more enjoyable! Next step is adding colored stitches to show seams.
Hey Hawk, why not film the renovation of the garage and let us follow that journey. Would love to see that aswell. Maybe You could make it a couple of parts videos. Teardown, Building, Painting. And why not make the painting part a little star wars inspired?
I have a very small Channel, and the No. 1 mistake small Channels make is to not stay consistent. I thought about filming the garage updates, but I have a hard enough time getting views for my build videos. I want people to know what to expect. Someday I'll be able to expand what my channel does, just not yet.
I HATE shorts. Refuse to watch em. Rotten sill plates. Glad you're able to repair them. My garage have the sills and a few feet of studs that were rotted. Tore it down and started over. I sorta miss the old crap hole, but the new one is much better for entertaining.
Shorts are fine, they have their place, I just wish it wasbt interspersed in the long form content. The garage is turning out nice, you should swing by for a visit one of these weekends.

Sadly, that is very true. YT fluctuates like this every 5 years. Lastime it was the Adpocaplace, this time its Shorts. Sometime the creators are the windshield, this time they are the bugs.
Good to see you back Hawk, this really interested me in your struggle to gain viewers. I am part of a RU-vid podcast show that has a fairly niche audience. The host has made close to a thousand broadcasts of the show and about a year ago the show hit 7k subscribers. At present we are hovering around 7.89k subscribers and do you think we can hit 8k it seems not a chance. The host doesn't pay for subscribers nor does he have an advert subscription. If you don't have adverts or have low viewer figures I feel RU-vid is not your friend, it's a business only intent on making money, that's why it has flooded itself with click-bait shorts for the low interest parts of society.
RU-vid is normally a great place you content creators, but when TikTok showed up, everyone scrambled to do short form as well. The problem is short form makes no money, not for the platform or the creator. You can advertise during a short. Its been about 4 years and none of them have pulled a profit. Shorts add noise to the normal system and that makes it harder for long form creators. Its just slowed it down, not stopped it. I'm sure your podcast will get there, just not as fast as everyone would like. I'll get there too, in time.
