I don’t know why people just throw their fish on a stringer with out dispatching and bleeding them first. It’s inhumane and makes the meat taste worse.
It doesn't really change the taste unless you just throw them in the cooler alive. The only difference is that it wont be fresh as longer if you dont use the ikejime technique.
