I love the Slate Museum. It showcases such a range of industrial history. I work in scan-to-BIM for historical buildings - it would be fantastic to be involved.
Good stuff. Can someone post details about the invitation that is mentioned throughout the video? It seems very important and I am trying to find out more about it - who made the invitation and how it was done. Was it through newspapers perhaps? Its surprisingly difficult to find any evidence and I hope someone can help.
Not as cruel as the West African and Barbary slave trades, but we can't mention them as many of their victims were white and the perps had brown skin. Also, Amgueddfa Cymru, which nation all but singlehandedly ended the worldwide sale of slaves while to this day black Africans are still being openly sold into slavery in Saharan slave markets despite it being illegal to do so since 1980 (1980!!!)
The irony here is you're speaking Welsh, if he and others in his position didn't do what they did you'd be speaking French, infact! you wouldn't even be in Britain! Go F*CK YOURSELF.
I never met my grandfather ,as he died in this explosion, every time I watch something about it I feel great emotion, even although I didn’t know him, I will never forget. Rip Fredrick Rees 🙏🙏🙏
