Remember this as the b-side to the Diamond Dogs 45. Heard the original years later. Got to say, having been smitten by Bowie's enigmatic songwriting in '69, I'd have 'got' the original single too (if I'd been aware of it, but the British music press seemed to lose interest after Space Oddity)
EMI was about to release the Beatle single GIRL/YOU'RE GONNA LOSE THAT GIRL, from the Beatles Love Songs package, but thought fans would confuse it with this Wings tune, and didnt want one single to take away potential sales from the other...First time i ever heard it: not bad at all!
