Praise the Lord!!! Thank you so much! I have a pair of shoes for a 17th century costume that I am using a velvet,frayed edged ribbon on. I couldn't figure out for the life of me how to do it. A little embarrassing here...even with your perfect instructions, I STILL kept messing it up. That poor ribbon is looking pretty sad. I figured out that I was adding an extra not somehow. Well, now I can do it. I will sleep well tonight!!!

Now that you’ve had them a while, how is the strap holding up? I’m afraid the straps might stretch too much and be floppy or break. They remind me of shoes that I used to get from Chinatown when I was a teenager.
I have found that they stay tied very well. I wrap them snugly around my ankle/leg so they stay put, and I double knot them so they don’t come untied throughout the day. I have even worn them to work with no issues.

So adorable unboxing! I just purchased the black one. 425 425 425 is also what I kept telling myself but it is so beautiful and very professional. Almost got the blue one. I "failed" my goal of returning it and had to keep it. Good luck with your decision! You should keep it!
I watched this last year and should have replied then, but better late than never….right? First, this bow works beautifully and it’s not only neat (aka tidy), but it’s also sweet and I think if you tie the bow just a tad wider than the bow in the video (as wide, or just narrower, than the upper edge of the side of the shoe), it’s also “Audrey elegant” (did I just make that up? Trademarked! 😂). Second, I think that the lovely channel owner did an amazing job of explaining how to do replicate this bow and added in tips as she went along so you're successful in the end. Those tips also help you understand what you’re doing and why, so that if you want to make little modifications, it’s a cinch! She also seems like a lovely person and she managed to turn what could be considered a boring or artless activity and turned into into an enjoyable watch. I really hope her channel grows!

Thank you for sharing this - that’s beautiful! I love how polished this looks and never knew how to tie it like that. My bows usually ended up looking like your first example, but not by choice.
