Top water is kinda tricky, need to give the fish a second before jerking the bait out of it mouth.. sometimes I'll cast a top water plug into the boil and close my eyes because if I see the blowup I get excited and set the hook to fast.
Nice job kitchen in Alto stripers. I like the way you teach so people can learn what you’re doing. You guys sure to stay busy. One bait rod, and one top water going all the time. Keep up the good work.
Most important thing is learning how to read the beach. Check out this video from beach bomber. He explains it better than I ever could ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-OmSAZ_gJ6Pg.html
I’m very interested in getting good quality video during fishing trips so that I can see the 2nd and 3rd drop offs. Did you try the fix somebody recommended? Carlos in North Padre Island
Great video. I used to take my little girl fishing too. She's 49 years old now! Such great memories. I live on the island and would love to go surf fishing, but I can't because I have a very bad knee that may need replacement. I've been looking at the possibility of using a drone, as you do, to drop my bait. I was really interested in the SwellPro, but I've read so many bad reviews about it being old technology and losing signal causing it to dive into the ground, causing damage. Have you had any problems with it? Carlos
Impressive catch and impressive video, no doubt! When dropping a line like you did with the drone, how much line should you have on your reel? I might start drone bait dropping in the future. Carlos
Great video! I know that there's many variables, but on the average, how many drone bait drops can you do with 1 fully charged battery? I'm asking so that I can get a good idea how many batteries I'll need for when I buy the SwellPro 4. Carlos
I'm trying to decide about the camera. I will be using it for leopard shark on the mud flats at Humboldt Bay, Northern California. The fish are slender and 3-5 feet long. Is the camera good enough to help me find the fish on a mud flat? I usually get smaller fish when I cast to a random spot and wait for fish to find it. Would the camera help?
I’m familiar with leopard sharks. I used to live in Southern California. I think the water clarity would have to be pretty darn clear for it to be much help. The image quality plus glare and murky water will make it hard to spot them.
