Hi everyone! I made this channel named in honor of Ragan Smith, who recently decided to retire from elite gymnastics and attend the University of Oklahoma. Ragan has been my favorite gymnast since 2016 since she was named an alternate to the 2016 Olympic team. When she injured herself at the 2017 world championships, I was so sad because I knew she could come away with 2 gold medals. I always loved her playful floor routines the most. I will miss watching her so much and I wish her the best in college!
*** I am not Ragan Smith just a fan of her and a part of the gymnastics community ***
And this is why the aa final was great. The three best gymnasts ended up on the podium and with the right medal for each. As opposed to the horrible, almost traumatic beam and floor finals. 😖
Simone getting 60 AA and 15 floor by Olympic judges shows how amazing she is! I mean this was such a crazy and exciting olympics, from Kaylia winning bars to Rebeca winning floor and Alice winning beam. Just absolutely crazy and I imagine it would've been even cooler if there weren't so many heartbreaking injuries (Gadirova twins from GB, Skye, Shi and Kayla from the US, Eythora from Netherlands)
Thank You!!! This is my favorite of all of your video types, sadly we didn't have Jordan in the All-Around to get more chances for her to place higher!!!
People say Biles is on a league of her own, but look at Andrade. She sits comfortably in second place no matter what. Lee had to count nearly all of her best scores to have a shot at the bronze medal,.but Andrade scores high enough to have room for error and still earn silver every single time. She's a legend.
Lee didn't have time to train her full difficulty on all flour of the apparatus. She could have added a Silivas on the floor, a harder beam mount, a full twisting jaegar on bars, and a new vault that she was training but never competed. Unlike Andrade and Biles, she had to sit out the 2023 season and only had six months to train. She also beat Biles at the Olympic trials on day 2 before Tokyo and Andrade in the aa competition at the Olympics. People don't give her enough credit for getting the Bronze, and she could have gotten gold on beam as well if she didn't fall and with a watered down routine.
@@battlehymnoftheempath3610 It's a shame she had to wait 6 months. Andrade had to wait YEARS to be able to perform at a high level again after THREE ACLs. I remember several american gymnasts retiring after ONE ACL and I can tell you SEVERAL NAMES. Rebeca had 3 and continued, won medals and became one of the greatest names in the WORLD.
@@battlehymnoftheempath3610 You seem to be forgetting that Andrade played it safe. She had a 6.5 potential on both floor and beam, an extra 2-tenth on bars and a TTY on vault. Lee could never beat Andrade if they both go head to head without errors. While Lee won in 2021, Andrade went OOB twice, so how about you respect the Queen!!!
@Eromosele1-v6j Lee could have added a point of difficulty on Bars, and she beat Simone Biles on Beam at Trials. Im not saying that Rebecca is not an amazing gymnast. I prefer her to Biles, but it would have been mathematically possible for Lee to beat Andrade and possibly Simone if she were at her best. Her weight fluctuations because of her disease made it impossible for her to train new skills, because if you add mass to the gymnasts body, everything is off. This gave Simone and Andrade a big advantage over her in Paris. She had to work on conditioning herself for big meets on top of relearning basic routines, she had no time to upgrade at all and would have likely gotten higher placements. Saying that Andrade beat Lee in Tokyo because she stepped out is a pointless observation. That argument can be made about any error. You can say that Biles would have won the floor final too in Paris if she didn't step out, but she did, and you wouldn't question Andrade's victory.
suni having a 57+ imagine if she would have had more time to train the cheng vault, the full twisting jaeger on bars, robh mount on beam and did an upgraded tumbling pass on floor 😭😭
She didn't need a cheng or the full twisting Jaeger.... both would have been deduction traps for her. Her floor was fine, not much she could have realistically done differently or scored a lot higher. Unfortunately, the code of points keeps handicapping her uneven bars, scoring potential. Balance beam has never been consistent for her, and this quad it was her highest scoring potential... she gave away more than a point, if I remember correctly but she could have scored 57.5- 58 if she didn't have to water down her beam or had the issues she had.
She would lose almost a point if she did the Jaeger, and she would have no room for errors anywhere in her routine for it to be worth it. She has many form issues with the cheng. But her medication is weakening her bones it's not worth the risk with her ankle history she nearly died doing the dty several times .she did the best she could and luck was on her side
@@csaw4uthats why the coment said imagine if she had time to train and improve her routines, she’s only been training six months after being sick for a year and doing college gymnastics for another. Give her a year or two like every gymnast has had to train and she would be able to score much higher than now.
@@csaw4uIf suni had done the double double on floor she would have automatically scored into the 14s on floor. With the full Jaeger, a double double dismount and more training on bars she would have been close to Kaylia. With a series mount on beam and her new dismount (which she has trained) she would easily score into the 15s on beam even with more deductions (of course not big ones). When it comes to vault I agree that a cheng maybe wouldnt be the best idea but there are 5.2 and 5.4 points of worth vaults that seem plausible for her (with a lot of training of course).
Kkk
Lmao no. You're delusional if you think those US scores will get credited internationally. Also everyone tends to do good in domestic competition. This is the Olympics
It's a sad day... morgan hurd has retired. She withdrew from UF gymnastics team last week 😭 I miss her double doubles and her turns I've never been this upset over a gymnast but it's morgie. Wanted the Olympics for her then wanted her to be a star in ncaa why Is life soo cruel to this girl
I think Sabrina did better the Anna (Anna went out of bounds not Sabrina). Jordan didn't stick her landings and looked liked she rushed her whole routine. In addition, Jordan had no artistic movements in her routine. Just my opinion, I have no idea how the scoring works. Lastly, Jordan needs to stop that her medal was taken away because of her color. If that was so then Simone wouldn't have all those World and Olympic Gold medals. The judges messed up it's unfortunate but it happens, they are human.
August 2024 she won gold medal at paris 2024 olympique games she was the best at bar routine vive kheylia nemour ,bravo tu t,es montré a la hauteur de nos attentes encore une fois félicitations 🎉🎉🎉🎉😊😊😊😊❤❤🎉
