www.restorelilacway.com/ Restore Lilac Way shares the history, restoration and community support of Lilac Way, a 12.5 mile stretch of Highway 100 on the western edge of Minneapolis, MN. It was built as one of President Franklin D. Roosevelt's Works Project Administration (WPA) projects during the Great Depression.

It had seven roadside parks with beehive-shaped fireplaces, stone picnic tables and rustic landscaping. Today, only two parks and a section of a third remain-Lilac Park in St. Louis Park, MN has been beautifully restored. Graeser Park in Robbinsdale, MN needs to be preserved and restored. There is also growing interest to preserve Rock Island area of the original Lilac Park in St. Louis Park, MN.

Restore Lilac Way is a civic project conceived, researched, written, designed and developed pro bono by Karen Laukkonen, Laukkonen Design.

Save the beehive! And restore Graeser Park's rock garden area. This place is a national treasure, and it's located in tiny Robbinsdale, Minnesota.
