I bought the keyboard on Temu with the red switches and one thing I noticed is on the marketing images on Temu it says it is compatible with most 3-5 pin Axis on the market. I don't see that on the marketing material on Amazon. So the switches are replaceable with better and perhaps a little less loud switches is my guess, however it is really down to overall build quality of the keyboard in relation to how the various switches would sound.
Honestly, I ALWAYS come back to the Logitech G305. At the price point, I haven’t found a better gaming mouse. I’ve had it for 3 years and it never lets me down. Here’s the link if you need: amzn.to/3ZVGH0g
I just bought the keyboard, too, and I'm waiting for mine to be delivered. I don't think the keys are remappable or anything like that, note the missing printscreen button and some other buttons on full size keyboards. I like this size of keyboard for my desk, however this key that looks like I is missing on these smaller keyboards which is a pain when coding.
@@dronesoar Too bad the keys are not remappable. I don't use Home, Insert Page Up and Page Down at all, wish I could remap it something useful like Printscreen. By the way, the | is right below the Backspace button.
One thing I did find out this keyboard can take other switches, something that is not mentioned on the Amazon marketing side. It can take most 3 to 5 pin switches available on the market. It does mention it on Temu though.
good review and such but realistically for sound test you might try to put the mic where your head is as you will not be jamming your ear near the keyboard while typing so the sound test one in the head position seems to be better to me what about you guys
@@yugenhonja hello 👋🏻 what do you mean “south facing”? The backlight does not show THROUGH the keys. Just around the keys. You can’t see the face of the key when the room is completely dark. But if you’re familiar with a keyboard, it’s not hard to game or type. Hope that helps!
I still use it every day at work! I like it still because it’s not too loud for working close to other people, and it still feels amazing. I have used the VIA online app in conjunction with this keyboard to create sooo many helpful macros to make work easier/quicker. Other people in the office are jealous 😀
One thing that's not clear in the video is if the caps labels are illuminated. Because all that light going only around the caps is honestly useless. The labels themselves being illuminated would make this a great choice for a low light environment.
Unfortunately, the keycaps do not let light through to see the labels. the caps lock does have an led indicator under it so you can see if it is on... but it can be hard to tell depending on the color of the backlight you choose.
I notice they are 50mg and a typical energy drink would be around 100-200mg do you feel the have a similar alertness affect or would you need to take more than one for that
You said you can turn the light off completely but there were lights that stayed on when you did that, Caps Lock and over by the number pad. Can you actually turn off all lights, including the ones that didn't go off when you did that? I'm asking because this keyboard interests me but have heard about lighting issues and want all lights off.
Hey Man, Loved the video and the keyboard as well, just one small query, assuming using this keyboard for research purposes almost every single day for at least a couple hours a day, will the key chattering issue be encountered down the line?
hey! no wouldn't be annoyed with it at all. I literally use this 9 hours a day at work and don't get annoyed with it.... as long as you enjoy the sounds of a mechanical keyboard. this one definitely is more subdued than some others I have tested. I wouldn't be scared to use it at all for something like that. thanks!
How does the caffeine feel? I ask because I had a can of G-Fuel once and I did drink it fairly quickly and I was wired for a few hours and then completely crashed. Would this have a similar effect?
No it’s different from a drink because with a drink you can just drink faster and get the caffeine faster. This is more of a slow release. And the caffeine is much less than a G Fuel.
Hello, thank you for the video. I have just got one. Do you know how long to charge it for? And also how long does it last? If you leave it on? Hope you can help thanks.
Hi 👋🏻 im not sure exactly. I haven’t measured. I use the one for about an hour or two a day and have to charge it once a week. I just charge it overnight and it’s ready to go in the morning. It will depend on which brightness setting you use. Hope that helps. Thanks!
It depends on your budget. i find the Audio technica ATR-2100 to be a more well-rounded microphone around this price range. i would say this one would be better for streaming or podcasting.
The V6 flies under the radar. If you don't need wireless and are going to be using it as a desktop keyboard, you don't need bluetooth, in which case Keychron's BT is kind of spotty anyway. I was looking at a K10Pro and this was the exact keyboard but without the features I wasn't gonig to use anyway. Super super great value for the money if you get it on sale. For modding, the silicon pad inside does a good job, all you really need is a bit of tape on the back of the PCB. Anything more foam more than what they give you messes with the acoustics a bit. You'll need to swap out the switches if you want a significantly different and feel than the KPRos/Gaterons that they typically come with.
Hey Ryit quick question. On this board do the letters on the keycaps light up with the backlight? I’m looking for a board where if I’m in the dark the letters on the key caps can be seen in the dark. Or maybe you’ll know if there a keychron cap set I can get separately that I can switch out so I can see the backlight color through the key letters. Thanks!
Hello! Yes! The stock keycaps light up 😀 very easy to see in the dark. You can even make it brighter and dimmer using the keyboard function key or the VIA software online 😀 hope that helps 👍🏻
Hello again! So sorry! I need to clarify something on this comment... I misunderstood your question. The actual letters on the keycaps are not visible when the rooms is completely dark. the light is only coming from around the keycap. not through it. Sorry for the confusion.
Yeah. I think that would make the keyboard even better. i don't do any modding, so I'm not sure how to do all that, but I've watched a lot of Hipyo Tech videos and he LOVES modding keyboards. I only own 6 keyboards. They are all stock (other than keycaps)... but this one is my favorite out of the ones I've tried.
Not the most in-depth review, but definitely shows what most people are probably looking for, the keytapping sounds! I might be getting one of these soon myself. Course, I'd prefer brown switches over red.
yes, you're right. But if you're making coffee with a Keurig, you can't be too particular. But you can buy espresso style k-cups just for this purpose if you'd like. I've found these to be quite enjoyable with regular coffee k-cups though. And isn't that what its all about? A nice enjoyable cup of coffee? :)
I use Win+Shift+S. That opens up the snipping tool and you can choose between full screen screenshot, window screenshot, a cropped screenshot or even a freeform screenshot. way more handy than the print screen button. Try it out!
The tonor td510, the fduce sl40, the donnor and the vegue are all essentially the same mic with the same capsule tonor at least tried to make their design different
