Sorry about that! I linked the video where I talk about the list above. Sometimes it's nice to see a game play out fully to learn the game or the specific units and interations on the board. Other times it's great to get the highlights of a game in under 20 minutes.
I get where you would think that, but guardian says to cancel hits. You still have to save against “cancelled” hits. Protector let’s you “cancel” crits but you have to save it. Protector does not say you can dodge crits. Therefore you can’t dodge crits unless you have outmaneuver.
@@mro1099 I know it's pretty confusing. Here's the forum ruling that does clarify that you can indeed spend dodges to cancel crits with protector/guardian/soresu: forums.atomicmassgames.com/topic/9669-protectorsoresuguardian/#comment-44578 The key here is that protector says "while using guardian, you may cancel criticals as though they were hit results" meaning you basically pretend they're hits rather than crits at that point. Soresu mastery then allows you to cancel those "hits" (not crits anymore) with dodges.
@@jerrysgameshop no worries! You have to nominate commanders usually to give out orders, but the 1 pip, ploy, specifically states you can nominate an operative instead. For every other command card, it has to be a commander unless it says otherwise or it's an operative units own card. So a capo, vigo, gar Saxon, a field commander and maul (if he has the dark saber) can hand out those orders
You got it! I'll add it to the list. I've got a few empire and a few clones scheduled but I'll do this next. Ran them a few times and had a lot of fun.
I think if you like this flavor of empire, definitely. This is still the best bang for your buck. Lots of other viable competitive options out there in empire, but this is probably the cheapest way into one of those.
Thanks for the reply! Unless you've seen a ruling on the forum that says otherwise, I'm pretty sure you can. I searched and didn't see anything that said you couldn't. Firesupport keyword says "When another friendly unit performs a ranged attack, during the Form Attack Pools step..." Important word there is "attack" and not "attack action" The attack flowchart isn't bound to an attack action thus, Cody still has to go through the "form attack pool" step per page 27 of the rulebook.
@jerrysgameshop He's just too low impact and his design is bizarre. I feel like he should have had more health and Guardian: Commander. Otherwise, besides getting a free token (always a dodge), there isn't much reason to keep him by Poggle. And why does his bigger gun not have Scatter like the Bug heavy? At least give it Pierce 1 or Lethal 1? He's a hero unit. If he isn't killing a mini or two a turn He's not pulling his weight. Funny Fac(t), he wasn't in a single CIS list at worlds, but Poggle had a good showing.
Thanks for having me and Aaron out it was a blast as always! Glad to make sure Rex got his redemption 😎! Video quality awesome as always showcases the smallest details aka my ugly clones 😂. (New clones coming soon 🫵🏼)
Impact makes armor fine. If the game is going to have tanks and vehicles, it needs Armor. You either build Impact into your list or you play to the objective more to win and ignore the armor.
