Hi Mayur. I am interested in pursuing masters in Robotics next year. I have done my Electronics and Communications engineeering a while back and it has been around 4 years since I have graduated, did not get into the relevant field later. Is it possible for me to get into robotics?? I have the passion to learn and can put in the efforts required but I want to be practical so how feasible is it for me to get into robotics given my gap i mentioned earlier?
Very new to this and I am building a different quadruped robot that I had found and 3d printed from thingiverse. Do you have any good recommendations on where to learn how to code the kinematic and inverse kinematics for the different gaits in arduino ide? I’m struggling to find anything on how to do so and so far the example codes I have found do not seem to come with really any good notes in the code to understand. Could just be me though. Haha. But I feel like I have the math solved but no understanding on how to write the code for it just to stand even. Also could the arduino code you showed be used to calibrate a different one like mine or is it tailored to the one from your video? I have everything else working that I’m using in the robot itself and am down to the last part which is the legs and the accelerometer/gyro.
I was going to say stay strong and keep going but this was recorded 5 years ago!! Way to go. I always had wanted to do things like this. Robotics are awesome
This is so awesome. I'm starting industrial placement in R&D for Digital Systems for Satellites in a few months time, I might do a vlog on my other channel because I'm moving to a new area far away from uni, seems like a great way to keep track of progress as your professor mentioned
Hey! great content. It's definitely daunting coming into robotics and feeling incredibly overwhelmed. I bought the Petoi Bittle and have used the mobile app for control but would like to learn how to program this for myself from scratch. Can this be programmed using Python or is it only Arduino that I can use? Sorry for the silly question I just feel a little lost! Thanks David
Bro have a doubt should we take mechatronic engineering or robotic engineer , i dont have a clear base of robot so which should i take , can you give your opinion
Is BSc in CS a good options, I am interested in a lot of things like system software(kernel and OS), embedded systems & Robotics, AI and don't wanna close my doors
Very good video. I feel like this isn’t more popular due to it being niche. I can’t think of anything else. I’m considering buying this bot to learn coding. I feel like it would be a good addition to a portfolio.
Iam recently in my first year of my robotics course as to say we all know we have all the common subject for each every student in b tech so could you tell me which subjects we could have in second year
i sorta wanna build a robotic head just to have around my computer. i also have few robotics knowledge. could we make a robot think almost like we do and could we also create a program for them to help us create other stuff in efficient ways too. i'm not able to get the correct words out for this would be where the robotics could help me out. sorta like baymax
Hello 👋 , In the context of robotics, both Software Engineering and Electronics (or Electrical Engineering) have crucial roles, and your Computer Science background is a strong foundation. Consider the following: 1. Software Engineering is Essential in robotics for programming the logic and algorithms that control the robot's behavior, processing sensor data, and enabling autonomous decision-making. If you're interested in the 'brain' of the robot, how it processes information, and makes decisions, this is your field. 2. Electronics/Electrical Engineering is Crucial for designing and building the robot's hardware: circuits, sensors, actuators, and power systems. If you're fascinated by creating the 'body' of the robot, how it moves, interacts with its environment, or how the hardware is designed to meet certain specifications, this path is for you. The thing is I did electronics engineering as my UG and studied CS and mechanical design on my own and then eventually converged everything together. In robotics, an interdisciplinary approach is often best. Having a grasp of both software and hardware aspects can be incredibly advantageous. Your CS degree gives you a solid start, especially in understanding algorithms and data structures which are vital in robotics. Depending on your interest in the robot's 'brain' (software) or 'body' (hardware), you can choose to specialize further in Software Engineering or Electronics/Electrical Engineering respectively. I hope it helps.
Hi I just saw your video, would you please let me know can I pursue masters in robotic engineering after I have done my bachelor's in software engineering?
Hey, great video! Can you make detailed videos about each of the 3 things required for robotics, i.e. perception, decision making and action (interested in decision making part, would like to know as much info I can get about this like anything from where to begin, etc)
Noted! We can discuss about it on instagram if you are there. Due to project work and studies I don’t usually get to work on videos but coming live on instagram and discussing questions like this is easy so feel free to DM me there. And what exactly would you like to know ?
Hello sir, your are a good guide & inspiration for people interested in robotics, It would be very helpful if you can share your journey of education(how did you get here, how was your approach and how did u apply, your earnings, savings, cost of education), internships, job etc..
Noted. Learning Journey was and still not linear in any sense. It was full on 360. That’s what I plan to share in here and I will in the meantime I try and post snippets of it on Instagram due to ease of posting because making a RU-vid video sometimes gets deprioritised due to studies and projects. Feel free to drop any specific questions in here you want answer form.
Please share your views regarding masters in robotics from uk. I have received an offer from University of Bristol, UK. Are there jobs available after the course for international students or should I try for USA. Kindly help...Also, i have received offer from University of Sheffield and Leeds as well.
Thank you for taking the time to reply, and thank you for showing me this nice resource! best of luck with building robots and more! @@LetsTalkWithRobots
Hello , it’s kind of a long answer so to make this easier, you can find a specific details of necessary skill sets for absolute beginners on my blog www.letstalkwithrobots.com Check the Blog section and 2 minutes diary on the website and i continue to post blog every week targeted for absolute beginners.
i love this educational content, its what im looking for im in college pursing a bachelors in the discipline of computer science and i have a desire to have a concentration in machine learning engineering in the domain of autonomous and robotic systems.
i know abit of python already and i'm learning c++ now as well as data structures and algorithms so hopefully i can incorporate them both and develop them into some sort of robotics engineering projects. whooooo lol
Hi, at first thanks for cool video. Could you share what tools are used in each stage? E.g. for perception it wold be mainly deep learning, including CV, NLP and such. What tools, technologies would be used for other stages?
It’s actually quite a long answer mate but it’s a good question. let me write a blog post on this where I will share my tech stack and tools. Just keep an eye on my website. I will post this blog in October month release. www.letstalkwithrobots.com Good suggestion btw :)
You have made my day so much better. I’m stuck in a job the I don’t like even though it pays good money. I’ve been struggling to decide how to change my life but you’ve made the decision to study robotics so easy. I’ve always loved robotics but was scared of college debt. Thanks again.
It depends on the project mate and your experience level. If you are at beginner level then there are lots of robotics project you can do in month ( full time ) to gain hands on skills. For example here are some classic projects I started with 1. Line-Following Robot 2. Obstacle-Avoidance Robot 3. Remote-Controlled Robot 4. Light-Seeking Robot 5. Simple Robotic Arm 6. Voice-Controlled Robot 7. Maze-Solving Robot 8. Gesture-Controlled Robot 9. Robotics Arm with Object Sorting 10. Mini Autonomous Car This might help - www.letstalkwithrobots.com/python-for-robotics/
