Baithak Foundation was started as a weekend activity when our co-founders realised that in spite of all the developments, Indian Traditional Music is accessible to limited groups in our society. What started as a weekend activity in 2015, has flourished today into a growing not-for-profit organisation which works with more than 2000 students from 20+ schools and community centres in two cities in India. Baithak runs a large number of initiatives - from concerts, workshops, music clubs for socio-economically underprivileged children to a fellowship program for young musicians. We also publish books about music and do music research. Check out our website to know more about all the initiatives that we run.
We believe that all Indian Traditional Art forms are practising forms - their practice and Sadhana helps us be more sensitive human beings and creates a strong foundation for a meaningful life.
wow.. that's really great work.. lots of gratitude to the all the people involved in this mission.. it was my dream to do something like this.. so happy to see this someone working on this.
Exquisitely presented. So melodious ! Might be having a flavour different from the Marathi Natyasangeet, but, otherwise beyond any words. Excellent. I got chance to hear you for the first time as I came across this recording while browsing and hearing this song from a host of other artistes like the legendary Pandit Bhimsen Ji, Rahul Deshpande, Ananda Bhate, Ramdas Kamat and many others. Your rendition is distinguished and mesmerising.
