A truly beautifully produced film, sensitive and at a pace to really appreciate the development of the tools. Members of Sandvik speak English perfectly. What great products from Sandvik.
Y claro.
@Sandvik I've always wondered about starting in the back then threading out. A ramp move on the O.D. would improve insert life. vs First insert contact being on the face of the work piece.
i knew they were formed and not cast (tungsten effectively can't be cast) but i didn't know the details of how they make them. i feel bad for breaking them now lol
You didn’t discuss the properties of the fluid. I assume it is non-Newtonian but could you give us some details without disclosing proprietary information?
"The insert has to withstand extreme heat and force. So it's made with some of the hardest materials in the world"... Almost as hard as the mystery metal I'm trying to chew through, using exactly the wrong speeds and feeds, because I have no idea what I'm doing...
Thanks for the video! Its not easy to find genuine carbide tools off the shelf! Your processing of cobalt is also a contribution towards good tool crafting!
Just seen this in person at their facility. Boggle my brain. They can do the internal and external cutting in 18 mins, Total game changer for manufacturers. #cromwell #sandvik
I remember when they start to talk about that system on the first time. It was 2018 i think))) well… previous design of sensor was not so cool. Does it work anywhere? Or they only talk about this weird think…🇷🇺
