I saw Iams audition the night my dad told me he had AML..HE was FINE few weeks ago..then BAM.. I CRIED for hours after hearing Iam audition.. kudos to JamesBlunt for supporting Iam on stage. 2 very diff men, generations, zipcodes, ETC.BUT ,WE ALL CONNECT with the emotions that make us HUMAN.
I lost my father 3 weeks ago, And am sobbing over this song. but at the same time, it made me strive more to take care of everything that dad has left. I want him up there to rest eternally and worry nothing. Papa, I miss you every single day. :(
This song just connects to my soul. As I lay here on my couch and hug my mother's framed photo in tears, I played this song over & over because it helps me emotionally connect to her. I lost her to cancer 6 months ago. April 3rd was her Birthday and it made exactly 6 months she left this world. What hurts the most was nobody was by her side. She went to the hospital for a cold and died the next night. I know she's not in pain anymore but my heart aches daily. 💔
I listened to this over and over again and all I can think is my son who almost died from overdose and praying for him to get help this song makes me cry but always thinks of my son
Hi, my name is Steve Repi, I come from Indonesia, North Sulawesi, the story is that I have a child from a different mother, my child has grown up with me since the child was born, as you sing, I am very sad to hear the song you sing
As soon as I heard him sing the song, I had to go listen to the original, and I was surprising let down. Nothing against James Blunt at all, but this guy killed it. As a man who also lost his father, this song hit me so hard I'm literally weeping as I write this. I'm so glad to have found this. Bless you, man, and much love
I kind of thought the same thing too. But I think that if you watch James Blunt he is on the verge of tears as he is performing. His dad was also not well. I have a feeling that he couldn't sing it without choking up a bit on some of the notes. I might be wrong but I could see something real about his performance. I do prefer Iams voice though. His tone is just off the chart :)
