17th March 2024, 10:30am at Eastleigh (Fleming park), insane to have David James show up but mad respect to the manager for taking him out of Goal after half time, gave the other team a good chance to win, especially given their #1 keeper likes to give away penalties 24/7 Sunday league at it's finest xD
It's a real privilege to see the consummate skill displayed by David James to get that shot to hit the post at just the right angle to bounce back onto the goalkeeper and into the goal. That's the difference between top professionals and amateurs.
I met David James when he was playing for England. He stayed at the hotel I worked at in Liverpool with the England team. I think he needed some help with his computer or a computer kiosk we had, we talked for a good 10 minutes about football etc and he was a really nice guy. I've met a lot of footballers, pop stars etc and he was the best out of them all. Top class guy.
