Natalie, great tutorial video. I came across your channel tonight and I am so glad I found you. I taught myself to play this tune several years ago by ear, but after your help I am now able to play it better than before. I thank you kindly. Would you consider doing a tutorial on "Sweet Little Julie" ? I've been trying to learn it but am having a bit of difficulty getting my bowing proper on the second half to get that old time sound. Again I am tickled I come across your channel. New subscriber.

Great lesson, it all fell in place when once I figured out it was being played in A minor!

Hey Natalie, fun to "see" you here and as always I enjoy your instructional style. There are a number of variations on this fabulous tune, including how / where one uses ornamentation. Hope our paths cross again in the not too distant future at Fiddle Camp! Richard Flor

Kind of a newbie question ma'am, but is a fiddle the same as a violin?

It sounds more traditional Appalachian if you slide into the unisons Your e string sounds funny. Too bright. okay so you got to the Ernie Carpenter sound . Very good

Do you tune your fiddle up an octave. I am trying to play in the key of B but just cant seem to find the correct notes. Do you have a copy of this sheet music anywhere? The music I downloaded was in the key of D.

Hey I've recently been following your vids and am feeling very inspired for new fiddle tunes! I would be super grateful for a hunting the buffalo tutorial but I could probably figure it out close enough if you could tell me the tuning you use on your album.

Do you pronounce your name the Spanish way (like a "y") or the two lls? If it's the Spanish way, would you please inform KBUT's "Cold Frosty Morning" hosts, who play your pieces on their show a lot. I wince every time they say your name. But I love listening to your music and I first heard it on that Gunnison, CO show.

If you perform in New Mexico, you might have to temporarily change the pronunciation of your name because everyone would give you a weird look when you announced yourself!
