Just test Dolby Vision to generate 1000 nit in Rec.709 Color Space (100 nit). Software can't be change to 1000 nit mean in color space Rec.709 can read only 100 nit that why video is dark but RU-vid show in HDR mode because while software generate they keep HDR code.

​@@hdrfilmmaker Just set a Rec.709 clip (I guess it should be 10-bit or 12-bit) to be PQ same as your timeline then the clip will be brighter, am I correct?

@@aerowsbhx Rec.709 should be 8 bit or 10 bit (PQ it's set up for Rec.2020 will work in HDR mode) you can check color space setting in DaVinci Resolve.
