Used to be that farmers just farmed, and they hired people, too. Nowadays, farmers don't hire anybody, and they all wonder why their country is failing. It's because there isn't an app indicating when to turn on the patriotism.
About the only thing I don't understand about robot milking is how does a cow know to go get milked? You said she gets milked 3 times a day, what if she only went twice or not at all?
Great clear concise message with facts not fiction that this is who we are and I know we are a seventh-generation family farm in Cerro Gordo Illinois God bless you for all you do to get our message out the truth the whole truth and nothing but the truth...🙏🌽🙏
Most family farms are incorporated. Most farms are LLC or other corporations. This should be made clear that a "corporate farm" is not owned by a huge corporation like Monsanto (I realize they don't exist any longer but most people do not) but is simply a way to organize their finances
It would be useful to see a comparison of all the different hormones between both animal types, as well as discussion about whether there is equivalency between animal and plant based hormones. Typically animal hormones are much more bioavailable, they are much more easily absorbed and used by the body. Not only that, but what are the impacts of prolonged exposure to hormones that cause an animal to be in a state that it cannot maintain naturally for the new prolonged duration, does this cause inflammation that leaks over to people for instance? -- Also why exactly do some cows not respond well to the hormone, and is there a link between those animals not responding well and some humans not responding well to the hormone or the milk? -- Lastly, people are living longer and in a gradually less physically labor-intensive society, thus will have different needs. A heavy animal based diet might be fine when other things will kill you faster than heart disease/aging related disease... when aging becomes your major killer, and new technologies introduce the potential for more optimal lifestyles... even a previously optimal diet may become vastly suboptimal. -- Still a potentially interesting view of things, but far from convincing anyone not already convinced.
First off, where there hell are you at (other than obviously near Chicago, because hurrr huur Chicago skyline in background) where regular gas doesn't automatically have 15% ethanol and thus there is a choice of regular with less or even without ethanol? Second, when you are calculating that it is cleaner, that probably isn't factoring the dirty diesel used to power the farm equipment needed to make the corn for the ethanol. Thirdly, why show a pump that has E85 and not mention it when that would be even better of a choice for your message IF the vehicle can handle THAT fuel. Fourth, love how as the time is being rewound she takes the nozzle out and when she gets back in her car to drive reverse away, the nozzle is back in the car. Fifth, as far as I know, diesel nozzles will not fit in gasoline vehicles.
I know the Lamoreux family, and have visited their farm. I know little about cattle farming, but this family works together, they are rich, not in dollars, but with the love of family and the land. When I visited they took the time to answer my questions, and educate me.
Adequate rainfall makes every farmer a better farmer.....the highest price equipment and technology won't change that. Technology and high priced equipment do not determine how good a manager can be (you have to be a dedicated and good manager to start with) but only make farming much, much easier. But farmers, please don't over financially overextend yourself and then depend on the taxpayers to bail you out.....I farmed for 2 1/2 decades so I know what it's like to save in a good year and work more and harder (diversify) to make up for the bad years.
This is a joke. Big rich farmers with half million dollar equipment. This is more government subsidized corporate farms. This kind of farmer kills real farm families in illinois.
This ad is stupid. Please let big corporate farms complain about how hard farming is in illinois. Shut up. What kills farmers in illinois is the cost of operating. Taxes, cost of equipment, and licensing. This fake farmer can go pound sand
