I lived maybe 1000 yards from that jail when I first saw it. It was overgrown so me a few of my friends cleaned it out at first we didn’t know what we found but then we realize it was a jail. You have to understand that the majority of the people that lives there are Choctaw and you should talk to some of the older Choctaw to find out what the real story is, I know the story. I know I know the story. I know the story.
I lived in Smithville for some time and that jail used to be overgrown with trees and brush. ive been in it a few times. you should check out the "iron bridge" if its still there. covered in local graffiti but i think its over 100 years old and were some people unalive themselves. if your going down the mail road with the school to your left you will take a right at the intersection of the jail and it will take you right to it and eventually back to paved roads.
We're just now seeing this! Haha! Thanks so much for visiting us and we would love to see you guys back for our new additions! Small Animal Walk-About Experience, Feed Stations, & New Rhino Feeding Experience.
I have always loved this story. So many stories of eclipses are so dark (lol, pun not intended) , but this is just so pure and joyous. My favorite one is, however, of where the Milky Way came from, but this is a close second.
I watched this video and took my kids on a vacation to Hochatown. If you get the chance to go, don’t. I’ve never had a vacation that made me look forward to going back to work more than this one!
Be careful there. Murderers run free awaiting trial. Fentanyl mostly unaffected by Narcan. Multiple arsons and no arrests, unexplained drownings and disappearances and inadquate and infrequent law enforcement. Cannibas and booze have made travel to and from Beavers Bend a game of 'avoid' the deathtrap. Have fun though.
