I finally bought an ultra heavy set. They are definitely on another level. First few times I used them I could only manage 10-15 seconds. I can do up to 30 seconds sets but need a few minutes to recover. Made a big improvement to my fitness levels!
I buy the get strong set and not gonna lie I almost dislocated my shoulder. But after a few weeks of using it was great.I brought it to my muay thai gym also to test it with other women and its heavy and seem impossible at first to swing it but after a while almost every athletes here can swing it and get a good workout outta it. Form matters and never use it when you're tired.
@J S I couldn't find a half pound rope besides the crossrope. A half pound rope would probably be great. I'm ordering a beaded rope. Apparently, all the people who do fancy tricks use them. Look up Jump Rope Jimmy on Tik Tok/ Jimmy Says Relax on IG.
Rhinorope is selling light jump ropes, 5 lb jump ropes and 8 lb jump ropes. I just received my 8 lb jump rope. It was intimidating at first...but I started off doing 2 sets of 15. Then I was doing 3 sets of 15. Now I'm up to 3 sets of 20. My goal is to get up to doing 3 sets of 50 by next Spring. Wish you the best fellow jump rope warrior. 😎😎😎😎😎
You RIP with these ropes. I’m inspired to try to jump like you do. Thanks for great content. Aloha m.ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE--KPy8g2IfsM.html Liked and subscribed!
I got the get strong set yesterday. Did a short jump rope workout with it. I could only manage 20seconds with the 2lb rope. Then needed a few mins recovery. I’m sore all over like I’ve lifted heavy weights at the gym. Can’t imagine how it must of felt jumping with the 4lb and 5lb monster ropes. Nice review 👍🏻
Jorge Salinas I hope one day I get my fitness up to a level where I can use the super heavy ropes. How long did it take you to progress to using these 4lb/5lb ropes and how are you finding them since your review? Thanks
It was my first time trying them out so my technique was for sure not the best. They might be too big but I just went with crossropes sizing chart and I don't think I can change them now😅
Loved the video! What the rope size that you are using? and your height too? Many say that with heavy ropes you should buy a size less than the recommended size. i am 5'9 and cannot decide between the large and medium. though i use get lean set large size with a knot in it.
Looks too heavy. I'm working out by doing 10 sets of 30 second with the 3 lbs. Titan rope, then 10 sets of 30 seconds with the 1.5 lbs. If you can't get to at least 30 seconds on one set, then 4/5 lbs is too much.
Yeah I agree, the thing I have notice with the heavier ropes is that my heart rate increases much faster. I would recommend like you said to progress through the ropes and not over do it
I just got my get lean set. But I'm on the waiting list for the ultra heavy LE set. Cant wait til they become available again! Props man! Thanks for showing these
great jumping skills. how much heavier does the 5 pound rope feel compared to the 2 pound rope? one thng i noticed is your right hand keeps getting higher then your lef arm. that is one thing i think filming yourself is good for, as a way to improve your jumprope form. thanks for the quick rope review. i am sold now on the heavy set, and i think i am going to save up for the heavy set.
It definitely is a big difference between the 2 lbs vs the 5lbs . When I switch from the 5lbs to the 2 lbs it makes it feel 10x lighter. I have noticed that when I look in front of a mirror my arm is lower something I need to work on
@@Allkindsofmovement well atleast you are recording yourself, so that is a great way to improve any kind of training. especially jumping rope. I Always find it humbling when i thaught i did everything right and then see footage of myself and spot some things i can improve appon.
@@Allkindsofmovement Damn bro you are strong as fuck to be able to swing a 4 and 5 pound rope that quick do you lift weights or just do boxing training?
