I have enuf money saved to get as high as a $2000 fender professional 2 series, but i cant get over the sound of these $700 player mustang 90's & the p-90's....its driving me a little crazy because i finally have the money for a really nice/expensive tele or strat, & there are no american fenders with p90's,,,,idk, lol, i hate these desicions
I've bought one in November 2023 , changed the strings with a lighter gauge ; just two complaints: the axlebox that is inside the tuner of the A string , came off from the headstock, and the screw nut that should hold the jack cable inserted, came off too , and the screw thread disappered inside the guitar body. I had to use a thin plyer to pull it up , to be able to insert the screw nut that came off . For 700 euros ( plus 200 for import taxes) an instrument should not have defects like these. By the rest , the neck is perfect, the fretboard has an enjoyable action, and , expecially since i have changed the strings ( 14 / 24 / 38/ 49) , the sound is great . Soon i will add another pick up , among the Blade and the Minibucker. My choice went to a Seymour Duncan mini humbucker. Of course ( but is just my taste) i always connect the tenorbaritone to the compressor, sounds even better . Greetings from Italy, Patrick
My buddy had one at his guitar shop.. I shoulda bought it.. I thought the neck was bigger than normal.. maybe because it has to go through the whole guitar
Everything’s good! Ellen’s been taking a break from the videos because she’s taken on more responsibility at the store, but we’re still plugging along here! She pops up on our instagram every once in a while. <3
A former bandmate has one like this. He is a mando player, but did all kinds of cool, weird, vibey stuff with the Gibson. On one of our songs he turned up the reverb to 11 and got a surf guitar vibe, only in a higher register. He also used some overdrive on a few tunes. It was a great tool with that band.
That's how Lynyrd Skynyrd got it done with their sound no pedals Peavey Deuce amplifier with no pedals wide open full volume creates its own distortion killer killer amp
