That highway will certainly make things easier travelling along the coast. I am hoping that next year I can do a two month trip to cover a lot of ground in Romania/Hungary/Croatia that I have so far either missed or not visited for many years. (Retired and trying to make the most of remaining time).
Wonderful place and justly popular. We drove along the coast a few times in the 1970`s having chosen this way to drive back from Turkey. We loved the coast but have not been back since the collapse of Yugoslavia. A return trip is well over due.

Both islands are worth visiting, especially if you adore nature. Sea water - special shades of blue color, but also the most cold water I have been swimming in Croatia.
