Ready to learn everything you need to know about the GRE General Test? The GRE is an entrance exam used by many graduate programs in the United States to assess student readiness. GRE results are even accepted by some business and law schools!
The exam has three parts: Verbal, Math, and Writing. It's aim is to mimic the type of thinking that you'll be required to do every day in grad school-but it's much more general!
So what are you waiting for? Check out some of our videos to get prepared to rock the GRE!

How do you decide to "subtract the bottom equation from the top equation" why do you just come to that decision? I understand the math after you choose to do that, but how d you get to that choice?
They chose 6.9 because it is close to the upper end of the range. Since y has to be between 3 and 7 they just chose a number close to the upper limit. I haven’t seen the second part of this video but I imagine they also tested a number close to the lower end of the range (e.g. 3.1)
The question doesn't adequately explain the table and what they mean, so this question is trash to begin with. I thought was saying the number of employees who own pets was the value in column A and that column B was some other value that we had to figure out which group it belonged to. Bad example.
Please, I am a nurse and would like to start my Master's. I would like to ask if the GRE exam is best for me for graduate school. If yes, which type of GRE should I write?
GRE Verbal tips: 1. Summarize passages as you read them, makes answering the reading comprehension questions easier. 2. Pull unknown vocabulary words out of the ETS GRE practice questions and study them. 3. Pace/time yourself during questions so you don't run out of time, if you can't answer a question, at least try the easy ones first and go back to hard ones later.
1. Read voraciously, especially academic lit. 2. Study new vocabulary daily, especially high frequency GRE words. 3. Do practice tests so you understand the Verbal GRE question types. 4. Get good sleep and keep low stress in days leading up to test time! Thanks Magoosh.
i think it should be 'mocking' still. '...the very habits' suggests that the populace has turned their back on it. 'altering the very habits' is too soft, and does not make sense given the subject matter is speaking about a serious issue.
Even if we don't consider the angle to be 90° or the figure to be triangle as gre mentions that figures are not to scale, the question is asking us that in this "Closed polygon" which is Greater AB or BC ... So in that case Option C will be correct... So then why did the teacher redraw the figure???
I dont get it. If I solve this problem using algebra, I find the answer is B. Let's assume Programmer = P and Marketer = M P + M = 200 P = 200 - M Total Pets = 0.2P + 0.23M 0.2 (200 - M) + 0.23M 40 - 0.2M + 0.23M 40 - 0.03M So maximum of total pets is 39 (40 -1)
In a Nut - Bolt factory 180 workers are working 6 hours a day . Out of 180 workers there are some men, some women and rest are boys . All the workers can produce either nut or bolt or both of them . A man can produce 60 nuts and 80 bolts in each hour and a woman can produce 30 nuts and 60 bolts per hour. A man is thrice as efficient as a boy and 3/2 times as efficient as a women . Given that all men,all women and all boys produce equal number of items of one kind ( i.e either nut or bolt ) per hour. Q:1 Working 6 hours a day , how many nuts they can produce with 52500 bolt in each day ? a) 17500 b) 23760 c) 50850 d) 60280 e) 80336
The opposite team during debate were equivocal and reticent, our team were focused on mitigating thus followed a pragmatic approach in our answers which tried to ameliorate the debate.
Got it right. Angle AOB could be 88-89 degrees. Usually if there’s no right angle indicated, it’s not a right angle triangle, even if it appears to be.
Absolutely wrong. The correct answer is D. The question never said anything about either marketers being 100 or programmers being 100, you only assumed those values. Since the question doesn’t give this vital information we cannot come to a definite answer. If Programmers were to be 50 of the 200 employees and marketers 150, you would have a much different outcome.
Wrong approach to solve the question. Because if you take equal number of programmers and marketers, then A and B will be equal. But if you take number of employees of programmers more than marketers then B will be greater and if you take number of employees of marketers more than programmers then the A will be greater. so the right ans should be D) Cannot be determined
The king calumniated the prince for going rogue. Indians consider breaking glass a propitious co incidence. My understanding of the GRE exam is its Inchoate stages.
So, for anyone that doesn't know: Any number in the power of 0 is 1. So if we asume the easiest logic which is X= 2 and Y = 1. The answersa would be 2^0 =1 and 2^1=2. Problem solved. Also, the literal question is which one is greater; a number in a power or the same number in the same power, but minus 1 from the power 😂. Obviously, the the same answer with minus 1 in its power is lower...........
