The average person might stumble upon a remote beach and find inspiration in the texture of the sand, curl of the waves, and the salty spice of the air. For the community of anglers, however, playing witness to nature is far less satisfying than direct participation. As we approach every piece of water, our attention inevitably falls to what lies beneath the surface: beneath the waves, off the point, on the edge of structure, at the intersection of currents. Its the fish and their habits, their power and speed that captivate our attention. Through rod and reel we find our connection. Some call it sport. We call it a way of life that's rich with experiences. At Okuma Fishing Tackle, our goal is to enhance every encounter. Integrating the latest advancements in materials and construction techniques
I like these rods, the only thing that would make these better is some fast action models for paddle tails, jerk baits and better prefomance with popping corks. Some baitcast models would also be great.
How this reel compare to Twinpower? Is it on par in terms of performance.... comparable between it? 4000 reel still use brass gear as bigger siblings? All same material?
Honestly I'm not even gonna use it for lbs (too nice) it'll be used for wahoo trolling, tuna trolling, deep dropping for swords, maybe shark fishing off the boat
@@OkumaFishingUSA appreciate the response. I’m just getting into trolling & was going to purchase 4-6 cold water reels but I might just buy 1 for now & wait for the new versions this fall.
These are really nice reels. Super smooth and they feel and act the same as my 303d cold water but half the size and better looking, I like the classic look myself, without the weak points of the other guys. Definitely recommend it.
Hlo sir I love your videos but the thing in your videos which is stopping your videos not to go virel is lake of editing skills in which I can help you with. I have 5 year's of experience
@@streetsofuptown I love the 8000. It caught me my first 100+ lb striped marlin and it didn’t sweat. I got the 6000 recently and waiting for an opportunity to test it out. It’s heavier compared to Certate LT, but I sold my Certate 5000 recently to get the Tesoro 4000 whenever it’s released. I haven’t fished the Certate SW, so can’t really compare (which is probably a more fair comparison). Tesoro seems to be heavy because it’s over engineered, which is what I like. 👍🏼
Get a medium action spinning rod rated for around between 8lb - 17lb line or so + ((Use backing/filler line to start your spool!!)) Spool on 50lb hi-vis or yellow braid (power pro is a good affordable brand) Braid floats and it being visible will help you see when you have a bite + 10 foot of 12lb flouro leader from your braid mainline + Your wacky hook and worm. This is my current set up for both my spinning rods, which I’ve dedicated to soft plastics and finesse style lures
If you’re looking for a heavy buoy ten 20+ plus ounce rod this is the ultimate fish killer! Second season on mine and when I need it it’s fish in the bag every time! Great action with a skateboard flasher!
It's light because the side plates are plastic. What the heck is c40 x, LOL, These people kill me spitting these fancy terms that mean nothing. Not paying $279 for plastic side plates.
