I was privileged to hear hear hear her sing this live with De Dannan when they touring music festivals in the USA. Her voice makes every song she performs exceptional. Her talent is an Irish treasure.

Interesting flute he is playing, although I can't see enough to be sure of the type. Not the usual conical simple system flute. The enlarged area supporting the head joint socket is probably a clue. He sure gets a nice full tone. Love these tunes.
What always strikes me about Johnny 'Ringo' McDonagh's bodhran playing is his musical humility - that is, how willing he is to forgo excessive novelty and just drive the melody like a heartbeat. Most bodhran players get that they should not play overly loud, but I think too many take their secret revenge on the group by showing off with overly intricate playing and variation so relentless that it detracts rather than enhances. Ringo, for his part, has the rare instinct for measuring the moment and playing with his mates, not in spite of them; and as a result, he's one of the best-known virtuosi ever to play the instrument, and one of the few whose individual style is absolutely indispensable to his band's signature sound.
