I am vintage and pinup style enthusiast, trained hairdresser and makeup artist, the years of working on clients and practicing on my own hair led me to specialize in perfectly sculpted vintage do’s.
After moving to London, UK from New Zealand in 2016, I decided to take a break from full time hairdressing and focus on my blog and modelling. This evolved into teaching vintage hair workshops which sold out around Europe, Canada, Australia and New Zealand.
Now back in Auckland, New Zealand, I continue to tour with my workshops, work with brands around the world on social media collaborations and modelling.

Only one who when I click the link to the headscarves it brings up the website of a domain name purchase site? Was hoping to purchase some of these scarves
I LOVE LOVE LOVE this hair style. It looks so neat and professional...like it will last me for hours in the office without having to mess with it. Do you have naturally straight hair?? (Or naturally curly hair...) I have the straightest hair of anyone I have ever met. Zero frizz unfortunately.
It's gorgeous. My mother had hair like yours....and she grew up in the 1940s. I grew up in the 1970s and 1980s...and she was always lamenting how her daughters' hair had "NO STYLE..." And, of course, she was right. Great tutorial--thank you. You look more professional--not costume vintage. I LOVE the look!!!
Come back 😢 Edit: nvm! You are on a new journey, I see you active on the workout insta and you are fabulous as ever ❤😊 happy to see you living your best life!
Best eyebrow tutorial I have found so far (esp for pin up looks) Thank you for the full details, close ups and doing both brows as mine are different as well. Thank you thank you!!
You should do you and at your own pace. Your family and health come first and the rest be damned! You seem like a down to earth, kind hearted person and I know its nearly impossible to just push that negativity aside. I would be a big puddle of mush on the floor. But you're knowledgeable, smart and beautiful inside and out. Personally, I could listen (love that accent) or watch you all day. I searched RU-vid for a sponge roller question and look where I ended up. I just found some recipes I think are yours, i really just found you and think your channel is perfect. Chin up, you got this!
This brought back memories of my mom rolling my hair every Saturday night so it would be curly for church the next morning. She kept each individual curl intact like Nellie Olsen. 😂 She was a hairdresser and I was her captive only daughter. She is gone now, and I would love for her to roll my hair again. 🥰
For my hair I use (pin in) a bouffant style hairnet to hold the curl in place this helps keep the curl in place and I never have to worry about windy weather.
I actually prefer to cover my hair with a satin sleep cap/slumber cap/ turban hat. For myself since my hair doesn't hold a hair scarf very well while I sleep the types of caps, I mentioned stay on my head best.
I just came upon one of your tutorials and I really appreciated the thorough explanation of what you were demonstrating, I felt as though I was learning something that would help me style my hair into a fabulous vintage hair style someday. Keep up the wonderful videos.
Well, crap, that website is no longer in business! So NOW where do I get the right scarf? I’m trying to find the right scarf to hold my curlers in place for sleeping.
I know this is an older video, but I'm new to rolling my hair... Thank you for taking the time to create a great, helpful video. Very detailed and informative. Your videos are still appreciated.
I use foam/sponge rollers because I don’t like the idea of a heat roller damaging my hair, and I get mega scared of heat rollers because I fear it’ll get too hot and burn my hair or I can’t take it out of my hair. It’s an anxious thing I got. And I like spongey ones because you can leave over night. I realized recently that I’ve damped my hair a bit too much which leaves the curls still wet looking almost like it’s greasy. Which irratates me even though I washed it right before rolling. Half of it is dry and the other side is “grease” like wet. Part of the curl is split and wet looking and doesn’t look clean. I also realized the whole point of foam rollers really are to let air pass through the sponge to allow drying and you’re not supposed to to have pretty damp hair, and tighten the curl around curler like you’re choking it…cough….I’m new at this I’m still learning! Sooooo little bit of hair lightly around not way too damp, even though it’s the only thing that help have the layered parts of hair stay together than fall apart when basically dry…..still learning…it also doesn’t help when you get a new haircut and they part it in the middle and you now start to part of the side and your hairdo is…………..yeaaaaaaaa…I also hate the Velcro like rollers. It does absolutely nothing!!! It’s catches onto your hair in the morning when dry and ruins it
