Cities are very convenient but I don't think they represent the future for mankind. People need to get back onto the land, grow their own food, relax and enjoy being alive. Why work in a job that makes some rich guy even richer?
Great to see more people enjoying the South Island. It is very special. Oh, and Slope Point is the southern-most point of the South Island, not New Zealand. There is a little island south of there called Stewart Island. If you haven't visited Stewart Island - you have missed out!

Mate, thanks for taking the time to make this video. You may have wondered why, vanity or genuinely useful content for others. It is the latter. Be encouraged! I’m a bit older than you and have done the pursue passions thing five times over the last 12 years with money invested plus blood, sweat and tears and although experienced some success and had some very happy customers have also crashed and burned five times. Getting back up and trying again is easier the 2nd time. It’s harder the 3rd time. It was hardest the 4th. And the 5th was pretty hard but did it much better but failed 3 weeks ago which I’m recovering from currently. Ive so appreciated seeing this and your level headedness because it helps me realise, factually, why I did it. Because I care. Deeply. And so I know I need to try again but to learn much, much more and adapt much more esp with raising a better equipped and better informed team who co-do it with me rather than crash and burn again. So thanks. I really appreciate you taking the time to share your thoughts, time and experience.
As a NZer who is in the process of moving back after decades away, I've found myself watching a lot of tourist/immigrant type vids recently. It's been a little like the T.S Eliot poem & knowing the place for the first time - or at least partly reacquainting, with plenty of learning. Many thanks for the vids and ideas they've provided. I've added a few places to my initial 'will visit list' before job hunting properly begins. All the best for your future travels
Great quote. I was watching trying to work out where you were. Initially thought the north shore of Auckalnd, then Northland, & finally at the end saw the split rock in which case I assume it's golden bay. If Nelson's home hope you weren't affected by the flooding. Good luck with the journey
