I love this open dialogue because even though I'm not the eldest, I am the second oldest. Overtime I've acquired ALOT of others' responsibilities and I realized in my 27th year as well, that I need to be more selfish for myself. In all aspects of life. Speaking up can be nerve-racking, but once you are firm in what you want not only do you validate yourself, but you also get this better understanding of self, thus leading you in the path that you always wanted.
Im not the oldest, but I did grow up as an only child (in the home- my sister is 11 years older and we were never close) to emotional immature parents. I was expected to be liked, happy, and be a "good girl" to get love from them. I couldn't do anything really for ME. It was always to impress parents, friends, or to "follow the rules". This is so relateable.

I absolutely loved this video, i think it's one my favorites thus far!! The relationship with food is a real thing that has to be worked on like any other relationship, but once you figure it out I've heard from others that its a beautiful thing. Also the starving children in Africa comment like WHY, please leave this rhetoric in the past, i can not. Don't guilt trip children by using other children.

I struggle with everything you said on a daily basis! We were told the same thing as kids and I will over eat because I don't want to throw it away. But I'm trying to be more mindful of what and how I eat. Loved your video!
"Curvy" body types have gotten more "acceptable" as time has passed, but we were definitely called Fat back in the gap. 🫠😭🫢 I had to learn my relationship with food, and it's something I still work on til this day trying to reverse childhood habits I may have internally held onto. Wow, and literally yesterday I was going through the same struggle. I spent so long looking at my hair in the mirror half up half down and went from absolutely loving the style to being shy and putting it up in a puff. I adore my coils but i just get shy.
