💜 I remember loving from late 90s: this esp Lee Hall’s writing - and the TV version with Ella Jonrs; Helen McCrory and Mark Strong. Thank you for uploading.
I was surprised at first when hearing the story as I've heard it before and it's changed a little bit but it's very very very very nice I'm talking about the story call the perfect maid
My favourite book of all time. I know it very well but never listened to a dramatized version. I did quite enjoy the TV series. Looking forward to this - thanks!
God, all that yelling and screaming! Is the play supposed to be performed like that? I saw this on stage with Timothy West in the central part. He was brilliant as Willy Loman but I don’t remember him screaming like Suchet does.
An intriguing idea brilliantly handled by Daphne ...and another illustration that she was NOT simply a writer of Cornish bodice rippers but her range extended from Historical romance to psychological thrillers to Gothic and Sci - fi. !! She wasn't the most stylish of writers which led to her being sneered at by Virginia Woolf and her little coterie of self appointed Literatti..!! In their minds - just like today - popularity was something to be despised.... something to entertain shop girls and bus drivers . Woolf"s ghastly snobbery is still evident in the various literary prizes awarded every year...! Can anyone name a Booker Prize Winner from the last 5 years...??
