I help founders of service businesses create Repeatable Revenue.
Hey, I'm Ray and I built a program to help entrepreneurs create scalable services, predictable demand from premium prospects, and repeatable sales processes to convert them.
I used to run National Small & Midsize Business for the world's largest business federation, the U.S. Chamber of Commerce for 10+ years. I was recruited to be CEO of a private equity backed company after getting my MBA.
Then I walked away from it all to move my family to a remote Mexican beach and chart a new course building online. 🏝️
I've been hired by household names in the coaching industry to scale their businesses and I teach & coach online service providers how to scale their business.
True that. Either tgey want a crew full of dummie followeres or do t like your innovati g ideas and thrir psid by the hour. Unless the mortor donot require a smooth fi ish but a hand stir fi ish like cornbread vs cake. ❤
TechTDB are fascinating to me. Their story (and $50k audits!) are what pushed me over the line to sign up for the bootcamp. I’d love to know - their $50k audit - that’s something different to their IT strategy, right? (which is presumably an even higher value follow on piece of work?) Any idea on their operation size? I’m guessing roughly 5 Thanks
It was very interesting, thank you! I'm currently exploring the retainer mode and honestly, it's hard to wrap my mind around it... How people divide their time between a few clients? And if it's 1 client, how to not overdeliver? Are there some time limits set in the contract? Does the retainer mode mean that I should be up to work for first call?.... It would be great if you have a video about how you manage retainer mode, Ray.
Great question. I would recommend productizing as best you can, meaning move the conversation to solving a specific problem vs. being a virtual part-time employee. Understand what problem they are trying to solve by hiring you, and price to solve it. Another way I 'solved' it was that I only kept 3 fractional clients at a time with 'blocks' for $15k/mo. So, they could buy one of my blocks, which didn't include a time commitment, but did guarantee they'd have enough of me to do what they needed done. BUT... it had to start with a paid assessment (to ensure I could get them what they needed in the time I had). Hope that helps!
wow! I really love you're posting contents. I'm a professional video editor and thumbnail designer. Do you have a business email or should I just shoot you a DM?
Hey Ray ! I loved this video . I work with entrepreneurs like you who have under 1k subscribers to help them to grow to 50k subscribers in under 12 months with proper systems . I actually helped Chirag to achieve 92k subscribers in under 11 months . Could I do a free audit to see if I can help you do the same ? I just think it's really important that more people see your content and want to help you on that mission .
So let me say that --YES this actually works. It does take a high degree of confidence, in yourself, your company and most importantly, you need to KNOW how your service solves your customers problems. I have been a CISO and CEO for many years and have put this into practice. First things first- you have to KNOW that your expertise can really help your potential clients--start with that confidence first. Map it out, create a use case, show your customers the HOW of what you do to help them. NOTE-- you will not be for everyone --that's a good thing --Thanks Ray
I really enjoyed this. Listening to you book on audible. I have been working on making it happen for 14 years and I am better at being happy and doing what I love and am looking to be excellent at the 6 figure or more income success I will keep tuning in
It took me 40 months to break $40k/month as an independent consultant. If I started again, I'd do it in a fraction of the time. I created this course - and share it for FREE - to help others do exactly that: www.rayjgreen.com/digital-course
Super helpful, thanks Ray! Totally agree that it can be tough sometimes, but often zooming out and seeing how far you've come is enough motivation to keep going.
