I've reeled in too many silver skip jack and man do they pull til your arms want to fall off... Only to throw them back! LOL Been to Cabo many times. San Lucas, and one time fished out of San Jose 4 times in 7 days. 20 skip jacks? Bet your arms didn't want to work for a few days. LOL Get to Cabo at least once! Only got skunked one day out of MANY. Dorado, Big Spanish Mackerel Yellowtail, Yellowfin Tuna, Bonito, 120 pound Sailfish, and Red Snapper. No Wahoo yet or Roosterfish. But Someday. There's a restaurant in Cabo San Lucas you can bring your fillets and they'll cook em up and/or make Ceviche (Spanish Mackerel) and send you home satisfied, called Solomon's Landing. Pretty safe there still too.
Dude! Where do you live so I can see if I can invite myself over! It's all in the details and it's great to see you both are FOODIES! LOL It takes pretty much the same amount of time to make a TOP cuisine meal, as it does to ruin one. WORTH Learning about subtle combinations to have perfect complimentary satisfaction.... Your wife's smile was a dead give away... YOU NAILED IT! I haz an envy! Thanks for the heads up using some Tarragon with fresh fish! When you get the limit (three), Use the heads and collars too. There's a lot you can do with them. Different cultures have all kinds of recipes to try. Many here on YT. Variety is the SPICE of life. Good on ya!
In this case it seems the FishBites is not a good bait, its only purpose is to hold on the actual bait that the fish is biting. There has to be a cheaper way to hold your bait to the hook.
Great video, your excitement is awesome, I know you're killing them were your at, but your more than welcome to come on down here on the Emerald Coast , and put them Fishbites to work,,Stay Safe God Bless,,,🐟🐟🎣🎣,,
So happy to see that Sovereign Living is back on the scene repping our soon coming KIng of Kings!!!! Welcome to the Pacific Coast (again)! So glad you got to enjoy yourself fishing away from the frigid Northeast. You were truly in your element! Much Love!!
Great idea! It’s been a while since I’ve last recorded, but would be a nice addition to the next video I have in mind. Stay tuned, and thanks for watching!
Yessir! She’s probably forgotten more than I’ll ever know. Plus, that was her first time fishing these waters, and still out fished me! Haha! Thanks for watching!
uh, may I disagree about cutting off the dorsal,, to me it is mandatory .removing lots of the most annoying bones,, like I have stopped buying salmon , or any steaked fish and only get the fittels,, why because they keep on that stupid dorsal fins, and if the fish gets disassembled in the cooking process you are now looking at bones in every bite.. so that is why I recommend always removing the dorsal,, just sayin'
Hello Again, so I cannot locate the vid wherein I asked you this, so please let me ask again,, can you tell me about the boat, and the engine, how much was it , and are you happy with it,, and where you store it
Yo, hey , so how many vids about, have you put on youtube like I said only first found you yesterday so here is a question , when you were home with those Fluke IN THE CITY, I was wonderin where is the boat,,,, do you moor it, or all the other options,,,,, like when you fished Jones , where was it , anbd what pemits were needed to launch and the cost etc , just curious , don't mean to pry
Hi Steve, there are tons of places in the city and surrounding areas to store your boat at all price ranges. Once you buy a boat you will need registration and insurance. In the spring start calling up docks to get quotes for the season, that’s what I would recommend.
Hello Sovereign first off., lemme just say that when I was a 15 yr old with all the self righteous passion, I remember how I read this article to the family at the Thanksgiving Day table about what happened to the Native Americans and as I was reading like mister know it all I came across this word which was telling everyone what the "Indians" had taken from them, only thing was I did not know how to say the word or what it really meant,,,, uh sure I was a little embarrassed,,,, but everyone knew my heart was in the right ( self righteous) place LOL. and yes you guessed it ,, the word was SOVEREIGNTY SO BACK TO FISHING,, I have yet to buy my first boat, like you I have been watching and learning from the same youtube guys so , could you say a few things about the boat, why you chose it,, how much,, the same with the engine,, and the trailer,, anything you learned which you could share would go far in my ability to know what to do next year when I think I will have enough money for my first boat,, at the sad old age of 65
my friend , when you spoke about having 4x4 vehicle and permits,,, uh , if I am right there is no such permits issued for the area which are talking about,,,,,, the only way there is to make that damn hike,,,,,, I say it like that because I am an old person with bad knees and too much weight for the walk,,,,,, but I see that a young man such as yourself can handle the hike , no problema,,, this is the first time I have seen you and I appreciate your presentation
Thanks for the comment! I was speaking to 4x4 passes needed to jetties more generally, like Demo Point and Breezy Point in my local area. But totally agree, that walk at Jones is brutal, especially in the summer. Tight lines!
Man that dish is mouth watering, I'm going to try that out with my next catch. Another great video bro, definitely going to share it with my fishing buddies. Btw, I'm glad you kept the meat on the cheek. It just pains me to see it when people fillet the fish and forget that there's more meat on it. I'm Asian and we don't waste any meat at all. Growing up, my father would point out that the cheek meat is the most expensive part of the fish. I didn't know that till I got older and realized how tender that meat is. Now I can see why, they like scallops. On a side note if you like chowder, Togs are excellent choice of meat for it. Use the head and bones to make a perfect stock, it'll make the whole place smell like crabs/lobster. Great video bro and tight lines!
I would love to meet up someday brother. I say that because there aren't too many people that I'm familiar with that have that love,, adrenaline or excitement for the sport as I do and also from the city.I usually go to beach 60th or Jamaica bay not to far from where your at by the bridge across from that gigantic parking lot.
Totally game! I’m not able to get out as much as I’d like, and I’m a bit of a sporadic weekend warrior, but if you see a guy with a camera out there it’s probably me😂, so stop by to say hello!
You need a pass to park in the fishing lot. I got mine from the national park service website. I recommend you get it early before the season starts next year, bc they go fast. I was at the very end by the jetty
