Exactly. Unfortunately, anyone can dig up a hole, create a pond and go buy fish... it's taken me years to get to where i am with my pond just to understand water chemistry, filtration, bacterias, feeding.... and still learning. All these treatments are the main causes of treatment resistant bacterias when not done properly.
Your videos are very insightful, I have learnt a lot of the past couple of days that I have been subscribed, im just wondering what you called the white ones, thought my one was a platinum ogon, but im not sure now, if I knew what I do now don’t think i would have bought half my fish 👍😎
Thanks and I'm glad you're finding the content helpful. Purachina is the correct Japanese way of saying it but they are commonly known as Platinum Ogon.
45:25 Thanks for taking the time to answer my question Ricky. I’m looking forward to trying my hand at another tosai sometime in the future. I didn’t realize koi are that sensitive. Prior to that koi mentioned, I was doing the same large water changes every other week for common goldfish. Moreover, large water changes are encouraged weekly from my experience aquascaping.
Great video Ricky…. 👏🏼 🐟⛩️ Always a pleasure to listen to Fujio 🤩 Superb to see Arthur out with you again… 😊 Absolutely stunning koi selected for the mud pond… 👌🏼 Don’t have it yet, but very recently secured an NND Sanke that obviously came to the UK via your good self… 👍🏼
I hope my snow Asagi is good it’s off you ,I’ve a 3k small air source on grow on at 27c saving me loads ,main pond at 23c un heated but it’s enclosed in same building as grow on mog burner for winter ,👍👍
Look forward to seeing the mud pond koi ! You mentioned once you like to always keep a little salt in the pond at all times. What level do you prefer 0.20 ?
Normal next day catch up, great to see you back ! , With regard to temp, I find 23c seems to be the ideal , way fish feed , active and growth rates, in my 3rd heated pond
Ricky i have a young 25cm Omosako Shiro. Had a dark sumi pattern when i got it.. 2 month later (and feeding heavy 6 times a day) it lost all its sumi.. Will it come back?
Except for the colour, the pattern is more like Matsukawabake or some Black Diamond. There are also having a blank area on their black. But the rest of part in Matsukawabake and Black Diamond may be all black and in shunu is yellow
